cell phone help

my phone needs to be upgraded... i have the LG dare (i do love it, but its old and starting to go)...
DH keeps getting phone calls and messages saying I need to upgrade.
now.. DH knows a way to get my a free HTC driod incredible... which is what I wanted when it first came out. (actually i really wanted a droid X)

but i think i might want the iphone.
i never wanted an iphone before... but i'm always on the ipad, and i love it.
my concern is that i'll drop the damn thing and break it.. because i have this weird obsession with dropping phones (joke)

idk... what phone should i get?
we have verizon... should i get one of those two?

i love touch screen... i hate keyboards. they're too damn small... i want something with a loud speaker phone, and talk/text (when you talk into the phone and it texts it)

only thing about verizon iphone is that it may still be buggy since it JUST came out (for VZ) .... but if you don't mind taking a chance with this, then go for it

ETA: and if you're afraid of dropping it, get the insurance

someone (I think DH) said that they aren't offering insurance on it... or something to that effect. like if the glass breaks, thats not covered.

ok then get the iphone ... and if you break it, have your DH get that droid instead (or go back to using the phone you're currently using) :-P

The main problem with the iphone for VZ is the antenna issue that AT&T users have as well. The antenna is on the side of the phone, so when you hold it, the service drops.
The solution is getting a case for the iphone which will fix the antenna issue and help when you drop the phone.

Get the iphone. You'll be happier.
