Demi Moore, 49, is divorcing her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher, the Associated Press reports.

'It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,' she said in a statement. 'As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.'

The couple wed in September 2005, and their marriage has been under fire recently after reports surfaced that Ashton, 33, had been unfaithful. Moore has three daughters with former husband Bruce Willis. She and Kutcher have no children together.

wow, pretty obvious IMO that he did cheat then? IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel bad for her, but I honestly can't say I'm surprised. He's so much younger than her and I feel it was only a matter of time he would want to either play the field again or be with someone his own age.

Maybe he decided he wants to have children one day and knew that would never happen with her considering she's almost 50

Poor Demi though

Very sad. I loved them both and hate that he did this to her.
She might have been older than him but she looks so good for her age. IMO very few youngs girls can't compete with her.
