Feelin pretty down

Had a bad day at work today...my boss' boss' boss came into our room when we were getting ready to go out with some of the guys and didn't like the fact that they were all sitting around doing nothing. She basically pinged me on it even though she knows I've only been there a little over a month. At the end of the day we had a supervisors meeting and my boss' boss brought up the subject...she was speaking to everyone, but I could tell it was really directed at me (and she even mentioned that we had an incident today). I'm not in trouble, and she said as well that I'm new so its not an issue right now...but I know that means that if it continues it WILL be an issue. I feel like there's a lot of eyes on me now and I'm worried that my staff is not going to take to the changes I'm going to have to make.

I'm not looking for advice...just some hugs I guess. This just got me in a really down mood.

no advice...just hugs. situations like that really stink and don't feel good.

i'm sure your staff will understand that any changes are happening because of the 'incident' and not because you suddenly became a ho-bag

beginnings of jobs can be touchy you know? you're learning what you can and can't get away with -- or how to get away with the things you aren't supposed to get away with maybe...
