GOT MY VIDEO...

I got my wedding video on Saturday - It took about 3 months, and it came great. I am so glad that I got one because I did not realize how much of the wedding I did not remember. My favorite part is the ending recap - I almost cried watching it.
For anyone still waiting to get their video, you are going to be so glad you got it.

GOT MY VIDEO...

I did the photo/video package. Some other girl does the video, who I LOVED at the wedding. She was wonderful. He keeps telling me, 'No word yet'. He won't give me her number and I don't know her last name.

Once they have all the info, Cassarino said it could take up to 24 weeks to turn it around.

Previewing video before editing?

Is it standard to preview the unedited version and selecting/deselecting scenes?

Just as we select photos for our album, are any of you able to do this or are we at the mercy of the video guy's preferences?

Actually, I chose nothing. I ordered the extra one based on the fact that they will do a good job, but now I'm going to try and cancel it. I haven't paid for it yet.

No, my contract just says this is what he is delivering. Emailed him this morning, go no answer.

GOT MY VIDEO...

Glenmar studios - they did my photography and video.

With all the cash flying out the door, I was hyperventilating from time to time. We paid for our wedding and honeymoon, bought a volvo and new furniture. We didn't buy a house and will be in our apartment for a while (want to save up for more than a 20% downpayment so we can support our mortgage on one salary), but I do understand what you're experiencing. It can be very uncomfortable to spend all that money so quickly. Its a whirlwind.

For cashflow purposes, we bought our new furniture from IKEA (we've become assembly experts!). Much less expensive than what you're looking at, but b/c it was for only our apartment (and all we wanted to spend at this point) we went for it. Realizing that when we do buy a house, it will all become good furniture for family rooms and guest areas.

who did u use?????
I think that sounds fairly reasonable. We bought leather furniture about 5 years ago = sofa/loveseat and oversized chair for close to $3000. I know the kind you are talking about and that is more expensive than what we got.
I dont know if you live near Patchogue, but we bought our furniture at a place called 'affordable leather gallery', and the prices were great. I dont even know if they are still around, but it is worth a phone call.
