how do you beat a cold?

i started feeling sick yesterday. but it was very preliminary. i took one of those emergenc-type of losenges....and ive been having tea.

took a tylenol today, but i still feel crappy

dont want this to get worse!

any advice? what works the best?

take vitamin c, drink tea, try to get lots of sleep!

Ginger-lemon tea - I buy the Stash brand. It's strong and helps. Throw some honey in there!

Lots of soup and fruit.

Advil Cold & Sinus works wonders, but you have to sign your life away since it has psudophedrine in it. They keep it behind the pharmacy counter. At night I take NyQuil.

Very warm/hot showers to clear out everything.

And a humidifier at night with vicks.

my sleep last night was sooo good. im trying not to give myself any excuses today though, because i brought my sneakers and i want to hit the gyM!!!

They have it at Stop & Shop and Trader Joe's.

But if you're out and about, some Starbucks stores carry Ginger Green tea by Tazo - it's not as potent, but it's good if you can't get to a supermarket for Stash immediately!

and i take nightime nyquil during the day so i can sleep for about 12 hours

not gonna lie

my AAAAAHOLEEEE boss worked with me for 10 hours yesterday with the FLU. I am trying like HELL now to stay healthy. Gonna pick up some of the tea mentioned above.

ZINC...it really works! I took that along with Vitamin C the week before the wedding and managed to stave off a cold that would have ruined my big day!

menthol cough drops. even if i dont have a cough i use them because the vapors make me feel nice.

lots of hot tea. with honey.

hot steamy showers.

vicks vaporub.

lots of sleep but i also try to sweat it out -- exercise certainly isn't going to hurt.
