I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

i usually don't do this but i have to tell someone. today my husband and i found out that we are having a baby i have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow, but all the urine tests are sooo positive.. i feel like i am about to burst....... i have never been so happy... anyway thanks for listening...

Well My husbands (former)best friend decided 3 weeks before the wedding that he had to work on our wedding day, so we were out one usher. Thankfully he has a great group of friends and we picked up one where we lost one. One week later, my best friend from college decided that she couldn't afford to be in the wedding(2 weeks before the wedding) and dropped. Thankfully I have a great group of friend and my friend filled in ( 3 sizes smaller but the seamstress worked her wonders) Other than that loss of two what we considered best friends the rest went fairly smooth. Until that day: we got to the church and my priest came in my limo to give a final single prayer to me. Well I get out of the limo, music starts my mom goes down the aisle, my friend turns around to smile at me and say good luck, but instead looks at the middle of my dress and says'HOLY SH**!!! YOU HAVE A HUGE STAIN ON YOUR DRESS!!!!' Ladies, huge was not the word, enormous! It was the size of my head and black! My priest apparently stepped on my dress and left a shoe polish stain on my dress. I responded by folding my dress over with my hands and bouquet and looked at my dad and said 'FU** IT, I AM GETTING MARRIED!' and I walked down the aisle with the stupid smile on my face hoping no one would see the big old stain! When we arrived at the Crescent Beach Club, my bridal attendant asked what she could do for me and I said get this stain out, SHE DID!!! She had a special dry cleaner fluid that gets out shoe polish and baby stains and you would never know that it existed! That is my thing!!

So my husband went to the shop and found the owners name and address on the window. An ex-employee posted it. My hubby took a chance and went there. The guy was shocked, and said he would look for my dress, headpiece and veil. But it may have already been stolen. He was of no help. We called the news stations, the police, did everything we could, but no dress.

I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

I got married in April and started a new job late August. My husband and I are very anxious to get started on a family. Would it be a bad thing to get pregnant so soon after starting a new job? It's giving me a lot of anxiety. Would love to hear what you gals think......

Planning

Barring any unforseen circumstances, it is our goal to have one parent stay home. We're working hard, carefully planning for the next few years so we can buy a house and be comfortable on 1 salary during that time period.

Cost wise, by having both parents working, the lesser of the 2 salaries would only breakeven at about $35K. These are approximate figures - but you if you're making around $35K or less, it may be a better financial decision (and less stressful on your family) to have one parent stay at home.

At a 30% tax bracket, $35K is roughly a net $25K. I'm told day care is an easy $1K/month...so now you're down to $13K/yr or a little over $200 a week. Add in work clothes, lunches, transportation...& there's not alot of cash left over when all is said and done. Not alot that you probably couldn't find a way to recoup through some rebudgeting. Long Island Business News ran an interesting article on it last month re: the financial aspects and it really made me stop and think.

Jessica: I'm in the same boat. My in-laws are in their late 70's and my parents are late 50's. UGH what a difference from old school to new school. My MIL wanted to know why we were having our make-up done and why I was having a photographer?

I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

They say no time is a good time. If you wait for bills to clear, it never happens, so you just go with it. It's never too soon if you are married. If you want to wait a while than you do what you have to prevent it. I didn't want children for at least 2 years, and I still sometimes feel this way, but the other side wants to start. I take my sister's kids sometimes overnight, one at a time, and it reminds me of the freedom I have right now. That may sound selfish, but I love to be able to fly out the door whenever. Not sure about giving that up just yet. Once you do, it's forever. If you are ready, then why wait. If you want to wait until you are more financially stable, that's smart and really try to sock it away. Most couples never get above in order to have a child. Good luck to you.

I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

I am Doing great...NJ is getting better, and I am getting used to be so far away from friends and family. My hubby and I were talking this weekend about children, We do not want any for a few more years, but I am wondering how am I going to manage, and what is everyone else doing or planning to do about working or not working, how much time to take off, a live in nanny, a babysitter that comes to the house or daycare?! It is such a big decision, Both Mike and I work unpredictable hours, so this is really a big concern of ours. I was just wonder what everyone else's thoughts are on the subject.
