Aww, thank you guys!

He's doing well. When I got home from work last night I sobbed for a loooong time. I had a lot of thoughts in my head that I pushed away until I was in the safety of my house. Once I calmed down, I called him. Swore I wouldn't cry on the phone with him, but I did.

He sounds really good. He's being released from the hospital this morning. He is no longer in pain, and there was no damage to his heart muscle - really good news there. Some of his prescriptions might be altered now, and there is one other pill that he might have to take.

He texted me a photo of his hospital breakfast this morning...which I pointed out was fully VEGETARIAN and maybe they were telling him something there...I've no reply from him yet. That was three hours ago.

He always makes fun of me and my 'hippie food'.

He's coming up here to stay with Neel and I in a few weeks...his cardiologist gave him the 'ok' to travel, so he's still able to come!

I think while he's here - which will be for almost a whole week - I'm going to go out of my way to make him some really tasty, low-fat veggie meals that have a minimum 'hippie food' quotient, maybe he'll be inspired to go veg at least a few days a week.

He's only 50. Way too young to deal with this shyt IMO.

So glad your Dad is doing better and he can still come stay with you and eat your hippie food!!!! You will feel even better once you see him in person!!!

My MOH & bestest friend who is only 31 had a stroke 3 weeks ago. She isn't over weight, exercises, etc... It crazy what life throws at ya!!!
