My hand is going to fall off!!!!

I have done thank you cards for 2 straight days. Could there be any easier way of doing this???? Has anyone thought of a creative, faster way of doing this?

My hand is going to fall off!!!!

Thanks. We should have them out within 3 months which I dont think is all that bad. My mom has had people call and ask if we got their gifts bc they didnt get a thankyou (this was a month after the wedding) I am trying. Between the wedding, honyemoon, holidays and moving into a home I dont think 3 months is all that bad.

My hand is going to fall off!!!!

For those who travled far I thanked them for that. I would say we hope they enjoyed themselves or if we knew they had fun I would comment on that. I would thank them for the wedding gift and for sharing in our special day. I would try to reverse it and add a little in between to make it more personal. Hope this helps!!! I'm finally done. I put our brand new address labels, stamps and the persons address label on the envelope. They are all stuff, now I just have to seal them up. I'm happy to say I will have these babies out w/i 2 months of the wedding!!!

Write a little blurb

Thanks Kate. My boss is out today so I will surf the web to find some cute quotes. I should be done by the time we have the pictures back. Yipee

Yes, the board is addicting. I still go and contribute a lot, but I laugh when I see the conversations, because it doesn't matter how much you worry, it's gonna be what it is. THere is a bride across the street from me getting married in her backyard (huge) tomorrow at 2pm. White picket fence with pretty white lights, the tent went up yesterday, the grass went it. I get chills watching it because it reminds me of Steel Magnolias when they had Shelby's wedding in the yard. I can't wait to see the bride. (250! people)

Your doing fine - time line

I can't wait to see your pictures.

3 months is correct. There is nothing wrong with that at all! Most people realize that you don't get your thank you's back for at least that. You're doing fine.

My hand is going to fall off!!!!

Hi I just started. What are you writing in them. I am at a loss for words. I started doing the envelopes bc I couldnt think of what to write inside. HELP!! I wish we could just write our names and let the saying on the card be enough. This is alot of work!!

I see that some of you commented on the quality (or lack thereof) of your wedding video. Would anyone care to share who your vendor(s) were (good or bad). Our budget is $1000 (give or take $200). We really want a basic video, no baby pics, no montages, VERY few interviews - is this possible?

I'm just starting the videographer search and would appreciate any input from the 'seasoned veterans'!

LOST MY 'THANK YOU' LIST - HELP!!!

I don't get it. DOn't you send a thank you to everyone that attended your wedding regardless of the amount or if they even gave you a gift at all?

Lately there have been many postings regarding wedding planning items. I'm all for helping out the next bride - in fact, I occassionally visit the bride board and still respond to questions, but the cup runneth over onto the Newlywed board....and I fear its now becoming an extension of 'Bride Chit Chat'

Please know that I mean no disrespect to the brides. NONE AT ALL. Just trying to maintain the integrity of the board.

LOST MY 'THANK YOU' LIST - HELP!!!

I sent thank yous to all that attended the reception and all who sent us a gift (some people sent gifts but were not invited to the wedding).

I did not send thank yous to those persons who only attended the church.

LOST MY 'THANK YOU' LIST - HELP!!!

I realized I didn't exactly answer your post.

I did send thank yous to those who attended the reception and did not bring a gift. There were only 2 persons that did that, but I sent a thank you anyway. I was glad they were there and if I had to chose, I would have nixed the gift and had them there all over again!

LOST MY 'THANK YOU' LIST - HELP!!!

You didn't save it on the computer?

Will join the ranks of Mrs in 29 days. We still have not gotten our wedding rings yet, any suggestions as to where to go? My family jeweler became ill quite suddenly and is no longer in business.

What I did

I just wrote thanks for the generous wedding gift and for sharing in our special day. I did receive some gifts other than cash. So I identified those gifts. Otherwise with the money, I didn't say what I was going to do with it. In some I did say, if they gave a lot, you geneousity has been greatly appreciated. I made it more personal if I knew they went to the church or if they had to travel far to attend the wedding. By the time you say all this there isn't room to say what you are going to use the money for. I'm sure everyone knows you are going to save for a house. Worse case senerio just write BIG if you can't take up the whole card!! LOL!!

He's officially our Valentine for life:)

LOST MY 'THANK YOU' LIST - HELP!!!

I wrote on a copy of the guest list with a pen...in hopes to type it into the computer (I know...duplication of effort). THAT is the list that I lost...I have no idea who gave what (it was all a blur 3 months ago). I figured if it was all on ONE list, I would be organized. Well, it is all on one list somewhere in the abyss of our apartment (or accidently thrown out). UGH!!!

Thank Yous..

Do I mail the thank yous all together..or send them out whenever each is done? I guess its better to send them all out at the same time..right?

p.s. I wouldnt write the amount of the gift in the thank you. Just 'thank you for your generous gift..'

He's officially our Valentine for life:)
