nantucket rental

for my friend's wedding...check this beast of a house out! We are splitting it with 6 other couples. Check out the pick of the pool setup....

http://www.windwalkerrealestate.com/rentals/rental/details/8534

ETA: DH like BLEW UP over this because of the cost...it is RIDICULOUS even when divided by 7 couples but our options were totally limited and even motels are about the same rate per night. He eventually calmed down after about 4-6 minutes of being irate.

Re: nantucket rental

is it $37k/week? that is INSANE for someone's wedding - I would NEVER pay that!!

I'd prob stay far away and take a car service.

Re: nantucket rental

It is 7K for 4 nights...so 1000 a couple for the long weekend. there aren't better options available for a summer weekend on nantucket.

Re: nantucket rental

It is gorgeous but no house is worth that IMHO!

They better not be expecting a wedding gift!

Re: nantucket rental

The house is definitely pretty but at this point in our lives 1000 on ANYTHING is a huge deal for us. I mean, the only way I can look at it and not get totally upset/pissed is by breaking it down like janis did and thinking that is 250$/night....which is TOTALLY steep.

I'll tell you what would be even prettier than that house...OUR future house with a little sign on front that says 'The Byrnes' ..................

Re: nantucket rental

are you going to be doing wedding stuff the whole time you are there? or can you make a mini-vacation out of it?

Re: nantucket rental

That house is nice so i guess the price is justified?

Are you staying for 4 nights b/c you are paying for the house for the week so you might as well, or are you required to stay for that many nights for wedding obligations? Can you go up even earlier?

What are the other OOT wedding guests doing?
