Newlyweds, I have a name change Question

I am keeping my maiden name when we get married. I was curious if it will cause a problem if a guest gives us a check written to Mr and Mrs... (not listing my maiden name, but my husband's last name). Any advice from newlyweds who encountered this and how it worked out? Thanks.

Both DH and I signed it when we were given checks like that. If it just had my name (maiden), then I signed it only. IF it just had DH's name, then he signed it only. I deposited them before I legally changed my name... HTH

It hasn't caused any problems since we have a joint account....so if they send them to Mr and Mrs. S or A and A S it doesn't matter...I can sign it because we are on the aame account

It drives me nuts, though!

We didn't have a problem but the back made us both sign the one's addressed to Mr. and Mrs. H but I signed my name not Mrs. H since our account is in both our names.

my bank had me sign with my maiden name and then my married now underneath because i hadn't legally changed my name yet and the checks were made out to both of us in my married name

If it was made out to one of us, that one signed. Both of us, we both signed 'Mr and Mrs. hislastname' we both signed. i signed with my own name. I ahd no problems.
