NWOTW QOTD

I've been nominated NWOTW since we haven't had one in a while

i'm gonna nominate someone new on sunday night - im good with just having this week - let me know who wants it!!!

QOTD:

My DH and I are currently having a HUGE debate. Do you use a bath towel more than one time or do you wash it each time? My wonderful MIL taught him it's OK to use the same towel every day for a week, now I've got him cut down to using it 2x before washing at least.

I personally think it's DISGUSTING to use a towel more than once. How can you be sure you didn't wipe your 'bottom' one day and the 'top' the next with the same towel? DH says 'I'm clean' when I come out of the shower, so it doesn't matter which side I use. I also think it's gross because even if you are 'clean' you're still exfoliating skin by wiping with a towel.

Thoughts?

ETA: A small disclaimer - i'm not passing judgment by saying 'disgusting' i just personally wouldn't reuse it because i would think it's disgusting to do for myself

I use a towel 3 times, no more no less, before it's washed. I use it when I get out of the shower so I'm clean and it's clean. I even clean my assss in the shower so that's clean, too.

Or get this for him for Christmas and let him use it as often as he wants.

I use 2 towels, one for my body and one to wrap my hair. I use the same one all week for my hair, I use a new one each day for my body.

DH and I use the same time at least 3/4 times before I will change them.
We're both clean when we step out of the shower and we both clean our bum's before we leave so that's clean too.
I use the same towel for my hair all week before washing it.
I guess it just depends on the way you were raised and what you are used to

We use the towels around 3-4x each towel...
I guess cuz we are used to it...
and we make sure we are Clean =-) before we step out of the shower =-)

We reuse towels a couple of times too.
I never really count- I just take a new one every other day or sometimes every two days- it usually depends how awake I am in the morning and IF there are clean towels to choose from!

In my house we used to do the same thing, except my sister refused. No one else cared though. My mom did towels 2x a week so we had fresh ones every few days. I do the same in our house, we are clean when we come out of the shower so I have no problem with it

I use seperate towels for hair/face and body. I sometimes use it 2/3 times others times just once. dh same thing.

guess i'm in the minority then! and when i said it was 'disgusting' i don't mean to pass judgment about others, i just personally wasn't raised in a house where we reused towels so it was strange to me at first

i think i'm pretty clean when i get out of the shower so it doesn't bother me that i use the towel again

Same for me, I love the feeling of a fresh new towel

i use a towel 2-3x max def no more than 3 times. But if the towel was hung up and is still a little wet i wont use that towel the next day i shower so ill have two towels for a week and interchange them until i wash the two by the end of the week

It depends...this sounds gross, but if I had my period that week that towel gets used once in case I may have accidently went through an area and didn't catch it. the rest of the times 3 or 4 times at the most. Plus I inspect the towel to make sure. It's just water you're wiping off of you.

We use the same towel 3-4X a day. It's what we both grew up doing. We make sure we are clean coming out the shower.

This!
We even use each others towels! HAHA! I don't really care, if it's hanging in the bathroom and it's dry I use it. If I use it more than three times I hang it in the dining room to dry and then in the wash it goes!

There is no rule we have for how many times we use it but we use it more than one time before switching out for a new one.
