This was asked about our DH's and now it's time to turn it on ourselves.

What are some of YOUR odd quirks? What quirk does DH bust your chops for?

I can only think of one of mine for right now. I'll update when I remember/realize more:
- I wear an eyemask to go to bed cause I need complete darkness to fall asleep.

my dvds are perfectly alphabetized and they have to be put in a certain way...

DH is an arse and loves to turn one upside down, or switch 2...then he either tells me after we leave the house -or- tells me, and then when I run to go change them back, he holds me back or sits on me so I cant change them.

My putting things in alphabetical order. CD's- DVD's- can food-books. It drives him crazy!

Also as soon as something is in the sink I need to wash it. Even if its a spoon or a fork.

DH breaks my chops ALL the time for using/saying expressions incorrectly...

To a much lesser extent he calls me clumsy. I blame it on being so tall. He always happens to catch me at the worst possible moment.

He makes fun of me when I gesture with my hands a lot and when I talk really loudly which is always.

ETA: He also makes fun of me for reading what he calls 'children's books' (meaning YA novels). One time he remarked that I finished a book quickly. I snapped back 'Sure, it's easy when it's mostly pictures.'

Everything needs to be even numbers. If he has the radio volume on 9, I turn it to 10. If its on 13, I turn it to 12 or 14.

I bump into and walk into everything. Multiple times a day. I'm a complete klutz. He'll hear a *thump* from the next room and ask 'what did you walk into?' and laugh before I even answer. It's bad. Doorframes, doorknobs, coffee table, couch, cat, barstool...I'm just oblivious to it.

not flushing the toilet after i pee... i guess i inherited it from my dad lol he does it all the time too...

that i listen to howard stern almost all day and can come home to watch howard stern on demand

can only fall asleep to a movie that ive seen 987973 times

DH is on my case all the time about my weird expressions...

And how I can't seem to call my animals by their names ..I've weird nick names for them that they now answer to...

and how I can't sleep when he is facing me... it's a weird breathing thing...

I do this too!!!

Drives him NUTS when I sit down at a resturant and my place mat needs to be lined up even with the edge of the table or not bumps in the table cloth, then I put my napkin on my lap, and put the fork neatly on the left side then my spoon and knife on right side with the spoon on the inside. My glass of water goes in the top right corner and can't touch the place mat (if there is one like at a diner), I HATE when it gets dirty before my dinner! It's a BAD OCD problem and he tried to mess with me all the time!

This is something I have too...I can't stand being breathed on. Whenever we cuddle he needs to put his face in another direction.

its not odd. actually i think DH is odd for thinking I'm odd- but the bed has to be made before I go to sleep. Im so uncomfortable if its not made.

* I HATE folding laundry - case in point, DH did laundry on Monday and I still haven't folded it, lol
* I am a terrible parker. I'm a good driver, but just am not too great at parking.
* I repeat myself.......if DH doesn't acknowledge that he heard me say something, I continue to say it over and over
* I always talk when he's trying to watch TV, lol

I talk to myself alot- like full on conversations.
I smell things before I eat them.
My entire body (well, except my head) has to be covered by my comforter or I can't sleep.
I really have a lot...so I'll stop here.
The one that DH gets on me most about is that I repeat myself too much and that I ask 20 million questions.

I am semi OCD. Every time I go to sleep, i NEED to have the following items next to me: afrin, water, and chapstick. I cannot leave bread on the kitchen counter, I HAVE to have it in the microwave. My microwave is pretty much my bread box. I am also SUPER paranoid about making sure appliances are off, lights are off, and the house is totally locked if we're not there. Sometimes I triple check it. I also need to have a fan on in my bedroom...every night! Even when its freezing I will blast the heat...just so I can have a fan on me.

He busts my chops about the following: a popping sound I make when I sip a cup (I know of no such sound). He always makes his nasty comments about my triple checks. Oh, and heaven forbid I fart in his presence...

I leave drawers and doors open and it drives him crazy. I don't leave them fully open but when I go to close it I only push it as hard as I think it needs to close. If it doesn't I don't realize b/c I've already move on lol. DH will go around the apt. and close everything lol.

He also hates when I don't make the bed. I could really care less about making the bed cuz it's just going to get messed up again lol.

anything that touches the sink even if its clean and theres nothing else in there, i cant use it. i have to get a new utensil.

we have some glass cups and some like heavy duty plastic ones but the plastic is like cloudy if that makes sense and i wont drink out of those glasses cuz i always get skeeved that they are still dirty but i cant see the dirt since its cloudy plastic lol

i always take a bottle of water to bed, drink only a sip or two and then leave it there. theres usually like 12-20 bottles of water on my night stand, on the side of the bed, etc. he calls it a water bottle cemetary. 'where good bottles of water go to die'
