***NWQOTD Wednesday!!***

So today's QOTD is inspired by what I wanted to do this morning- play hookie!!!!

So my question to you is- when you decide to play hookie (and DH isnt around to entertain you), what do you do? What is your ideal 'f-it, I'm not going to work today' day??

For me, all I want to do is lay around the house in my sweats, drink my coffee (and obv wine), lay on the couch, read my kindle and watch food network and soap operas. I want to be doing that right now.

sleeping mad late, making myself a killer breakfast that I would never have time to make if i was working, bake something new, watch my soap opera, and a movie. maybe ornganize something.

Sleep in with the dogs, wake up around noon, take the dogs for a long walk, go get something to eat or make something quick for myself, come back and read and bum around. Sleeping in is the key for me though.

Ideal day is sleeping in late, moving from the bed to the couch, watching tv all day - whatever's on but 11 am is the Price is Right. But for some reason if I take a day off of work I feel like i need to do something productive so I'd probably clean something.

My ideal day of hookie is NOTHING!!!! Sitting on the couch, in my pjs, watching a movie, cuddling with my Avery mama. If it's nice out, then I'll take laying out on the beach or running some errands but nothing crazy.

Is it wrong that part of me wants to play hookie sometimes to clean and do laundry? Something seriously has to be wrong with me!

I don't like playing hookie..I get bored wayyy too easily. I hate being stuck in the house.
If I didn't go in to work, I'd still want to get out and do stuff- go to the gym and go shopping (two of my favorite things to do!).

I have wayyyy too much energy to do nothing.

If it's a cold day or rainy like today...then I'd love to catch up on some stuff on the DVR, make a big breakfast, that kinda thing.

But sometimes I call out 'sick' and walk around the city on my own, go to the greenmarket in Union Square, check out an exhibit, that kind of thing, go for lunch alone, buy some books...that's my favorite.

I haven't done that since I have been married so I will give you the run down of what I used to do when I was single and lived at home with my mom.

#1. I would try not to sleep too late, coz I know that if I have to go to work the next day i wouldn't be able to wake up on time. So I would usually be up early to take advantage of the entire day.

#2. I either have cereal, or if I am really hungry I would head to A&S bagels and have me a bagel with Lox and crean cheese and a Nestle Quik Chocolate milk or head to star bucks for some White chocolate Mocha. YUM!

#3. Watch TV for the rest of the day....either catch up on Movies on Demand, or catch up the latest Bravo shows.

But since I have been married, I am saving my hookie days for days that I have planned with DH. Coz most of the time I am alone, since he works for like 16 hours. So I have my ME time, like all the time.

I love to just veg. I don't tend to sleep late cause the dogs wake me up to take them out... but after that... just lay around in my comfy pj's, watch Bravo and Food Network, read, play with the dogs, nap ...
But, I can only do that for about a day... any more than that.. and I go crazy!

OMG!! I grew up near A&S!! AMAZING BAGELS!! Can't even count the amount of high school days and drunken nights I went there.

Stay in bed and watch 90210 (the original) all morning. And then maybe cook up a nice dinner later on.

same here... i do get some sleep in til like 10.. but then i find myself running around doing a million errands

oh and cooking a nice meal
