NWR: FIOS or Time Warner (long sorry...)
So, I currently have time warner cable. They've been good to me thus far but whenever there's an issue, it doesn't get solved. Here's my issue and why I am contemplating switching...Last week, I went and got a HD box for DH's game room (as a surprise). I set everything up and hooked the cable in and it worked!! However, I had limited internet access. This is because the cable modem is in his game room, accessing the only cable port in the room. So I get a splitter so I can regain my internet speed. Well, that situation made me lose my phone connection. So I go to TWC and they told me that either the splitter or the cable modem box was really weak. They gave me a new splitter and told me to call if nothing changed. Nothing changed...fast forward to today. I contact TWC via internet chat and explain my problem. Their solution, put a new cable port in a different room and the cable modem should be fine. Ok good solution (I guess). It will cost me an additional $80 to fix their mistake. I told them no way. Money is tight. Maybe I'm wrong (I probably am) but why should I pay them to fix their problem??? I didn't ask for a weak modem, they provided that.

I want to stay a loyal customer, but FIOS is looking better every day...
So what are the pros of FIOS??? Should I switch?? Should I let this situation go?? HELP!

My parents love FIOS!My building only has TimeWarner or RCN. I read reviews on both and TW seemed to have terrible service. We went with RCN and have had one issue, which they solved promptly.
Maybe look at FIOS? Do you have a contract with TW?
