P90x'ers... question for ya
I just recieved my P90x and DH and I are starting it on Friday together.. I was reading the info and all the nutrional stuff... it seems a little complicated and that anytime I am not doing these insane work outs I am going to be cooking to keep up with the diet plan. Am I wrong? Can't I just follow a well balanced diet?

Re: P90x'ers... question for ya
DH has gone through 4.5 cycles...I have done ONE full 90 cycle and I continue to do all of the p90 workouts...just on a more flexible schedule (I need to step it up ,but that is besides the point).I reference the nutritional guide, but we don't live by it. We try to eat fish 2x per week and lean meats...loads of veggies...brown rice. We eat really boring during the weeks. On the fish I'll just use s/p and lemon/olive oil
Olive oil is THE only type of oil I'll use. I use smart balance spread for everything.
Also, I would look into a protein supplement...muscle milk light or myoplex...or trader joes has one for women. Your poor muscles will need help recovering.
In terms of the ab ripper - do it and you will def see results! I had a 4 pack (not quite a 6 pack but LOTS of definition)....it WILL get easier....limit your reps...like do all of the moves for 8-10 reps at first so you can get thru it!
I <3 p90x

That's what I always did and I found I would get burnt out really quickly. Like maybe 2-3 weeks in and I couldn't keep it up. Heather suggested drinking a protein shake just to try and get some extra calories in there so I'm going to try that... one day... eventually.

Thank you! yea I will use the recipes here and there but I wasn't sure if I had to stick to it 100% to realy see results. I'll look into a protein supplement. I only use Olive Oil also. I don't even like other oils. lol
Thanks so much!

Re: P90x'ers... question for ya
Let's keep in touch and talk about it lots...as a means of support haha! One other thing - definitely be sure to eat ENOUGH. Your body will need a lot of fuel so pack healthy snacks for during the day, etc. Don't be afraid of eating too much...you burn sooooo much through these workouts.
My *fave* are:
-Shoulders/bis/tris
-Plyometrics (i have a love hate relationship with this workout...i've come really close to barfing several times...i have no ups)
-Kempo
-Core synergistics (my abs always burn after this regardless of how many times i've done it)
-chest/back is really great too but not one of my faves. you will notice such a difference in the way you look in tank tops bc of this workout...definted soulders and chest...awesome. I started off by doing ALL of the pushups from my knees and worked up to real pushups in sets of 10. My SIL got up to 20 real pushups - she wasn't able to do even 1 at the start of the program

Totally unrelated but Barb no that's TIM Horton's, its like the Canadian version of Dunkin and it bought out some of the Dunkin franchises which is where you're seeing it in the city now.
