Pictures- Has this happened to anyone?

Hi ladies, I haven't been on this site in months, but when we got this call, I thought you all would be the best ones to ask.

This happened to my friend, it was a picture of her and her husband with the limo infront of the hall. I think it was an 11x14 of them that was going to hang in the store. So I think my friend just got a copy of that.

Good idea

I wouldn't have thought of asking for something either. But I do agree that you should.

Photos cost them very little to print - I've done some research and realized that their prints are marked up 50% or more. So an 8x10 that cost $22 really costs them around $10.

We have an appointment on the 22nd to go over our proofs & pick the pictures for the album. I'm going to ask for a copy of the album they're making for display. I don't care about the leather album, but I'm sure they'll use layouts that we can't afford. I think that's a fair thing to ask for.

Good luck!

If you want to be adventurous, if you can find it there, a flying lesson, handgliding, or glider plane lesson. And make him a paper airplane to go with tradition for paper.

Good idea

Yes, contract always rules.

But why would they ask for permission if the right is guaranteed in their agreement? If they had a contractually protected right, they wouldn't have asked.

Good idea

If the fine print says they have rights to the pictures, they can still display it even if they don't do something for you with your album. I hope it works out though.

My photographer did the same thing...He blew up a picture to put on his wall...The only thing is that I hate the picture he used...It's of just me, and I look terrible!! I figured it was a waste of time to argue about it since he has the rights to the pictures anyway...I never even thought of asking for perks....That may be a good idea...

we also used jovon when we picked out the pictures for the album we ended up with double the amount, which i know it cost me an arm and a leg but it came out great, just remember that wne you go in.. they tell you that each picture has to tell a story and everything has to flow into each other... good luck

I went to see my MIL in the hospital this afternoon. She's fixated on our anniversary (which is only 2 months away). Its a good thing - something positive for her to hold on to and hopefully help her heal faster.

I think she wants to plan a small hoopla for us. Probably at the Milleridge where we had our wedding reception (but in the restaurant). I was surprised, I didn't think anyone would/should make a fuss over us now that we're 'old married folk'.
