Still on a first name basis though - can't get into the 'mom' and 'dad' groove, too weird.


oh, i'm not ever planning on calling them mom and dad ... they are not my parents and they never will be.

i said it to mil once, like right before the wedding.
i love them, they are great to us... but it is really weird saying it. i dont even say it to my own parents.

I think if FIL uttered the words 'I love you' to DH or I that hell would freeze over lol. He is not one to show emotion
