Prayers for DH&our men in blue

DH worked closely with the police officer that was killed earlier this morning by a heartless perp, leaving four beautiful daughters behind. My husband and the men and women of the 75th precient are having a tough time with this loss, please pray for them and officer Figoski's loved ones

Lots of prayers! So so sad.

Your DH works in the 75? Mine is hoping to go there after graduation. He wont know until probably the day before graduation which is next week.

Yes, he's in conditions in the 75 so he worked the night tour with the Pete. I just wrote on your hubby's wall and asked what pct, I thought they get their assignments by now. Tell him congrats and to always be safe, it's crazy out there. If you ever need anything I'm here, another wife is always the best support

They wont tell anymore. Apparently last year when everyone found out the office was flooded with calls from peoples 'hooks' to change. Now they wont tell them until the last minute so there is no time to change it. He is excited, but its hard to see this fo rme yet. My dad is retired NYPD but its just not the same as it was with my Dad. I'm proud of him though!

It is a very respected job, they have to deal with a lot. My dad is retired NCPD but it is WAYYY different. I have a hard time with it sometimes but the pride really does help

ETA: Boo to them not telling, but I hope he gets a top pick!

My husband just saw his partner..has an injured shoulder and is devistated I fear for them still being on the streets when they're all so effected (sp?) by this=/

Prays to his family...my brother is nypd and is so sick to his stomach...i feel horrible and worry everyday! It is a real shame that we have such degenerates in this world who don't think twice about attacking a cop

I am so sorry and feel so bad for his wife and 4 daughters...my prays go out to all of them

BIL is NYPD and our good friend is also (used to work in he 75 I believe and BIL works in the 105). Every time I watch the news in the morning (BIL does night tours) my heart skips a beat when they mention an injuried officer. My heart and prayers go out to that family at this difficult time! And my heart and prayers go out to all the families of NYPD and FDNY! It takes a GREAT person to see a loved one leave every morning and just pray for the best!

Prayers go out to all those affected by this. Watched commissioner on GoodDay this morning and although being a cop is tough we have to be thankful that cop murders have gone down dramatically.

so sad!

my husband works in the neighboring percinct (73) and this doesn't sit well with me. i think it's affecting everyone.

it's really a shame that cops get so much shtt about 'police brutality' or 'insensitivity' when they're trying to do their job and keep everyone safe, but look what they have to deal with on a daily basis in this awful neighborhoods?! it's disgusting.
