Prayers? - UPDATE

So DH told me last night that they might have to put him on furlough for 6 weeks (it's a rotation that all guys have to do so that guys out of work can work a little here or there).

The rule is that once you get the promotion to getting your A-Card and your shop keeps you, you have to work 9 months before they can let you on furlough. I know it's only 6 weeks but we REALLY need that money coming in, especially since we were both planning on living off his check so we can start saving for a house. He's going to make phone calls today to find out if he's supposed to be going out or not. Please pray that the shop messed up and he doesn't have to go out on furlough yet.

And I'm adding on to this just in case anyone wants to purchase anything from the inventory list I sent out. Please let me know if there is anything that you would like. Some things are sold and my 2010 girls are important to me to make sure they get what they want LOL!

SMALL UPDATE but wanted to let you girls know that Franky got the call from my dad that he has to take 4 weeks furlough. My dad got a long explanation but he's off for 4 weeks getting a whole $405 a week from unemployment. UGH! At least it's not 6?

that really stinks. it happened to my BFF's husband too. he got his A card in July and then was on furlough for like 3 months from end of September through Thanksgiving. and then he went back to work for a few more months, but he's on a 2 week furlough again right now.

i hope he doesn't have to go out!

i know what that feels like. DH is in the union, and before the wedding was layed off for 2 months!!!

Thanks girls! HOPEFULLY the union rule is in effect and he won't have to go out! He was out of work so much as an MIJ (took 2.5 years to go through that MIJ when it's supposed to be 18 months) so we're finally happy he's working and making good money.

Yeah he collects $405 a week. That's not enough for 2 people to live off of if we're savings with my check and 2 people can't live off what I make.

We have in savings but seriously this will put a HUGE backset in our plans. PLUS, he's only been working with his A-Card since the end of January so less then 2 months A-Card salary is not enough to have for a rainy day.

Four weeks is definitely better than six! Sorry that he has to go out on furlough, but at least it's not as long as you thought!
