Pregnancy Vent

First of all.. MEN NEVER GET UP FOR PREGNANT WOMEN ON THE TRAIN.. EVER!!! I've only been offered a seat twice so far.. and both times were from WOMEN!!!! And I'm SHOWING.. I mean, I'm 6 months pregnant.. It's pretty obviousl!


Second... this morning I'm sitting on the train.. and this little Asian lady walks in with her friend. She has a cane and is barely walking.. and he friend is rolling this lady's wheelchair. NOT 1 PERSON STOOD UP AND OFFERED A SEAT!!!! I got up and asked her if she wanted to sit down.. and she of course said yes. There was a guy sitting next to me.. who just closed his eyes and pretended like he was sleeping. Then on the next stop, that same guy got off!!!!!!!!!!!! And the lady offered me a seat next to her. I was SO ANGRY!! and still am actually! I really can't believe people! I mean, especially if you're getting off on the next stop!!! What the effff is wrong with you??? Ugh!!!!!

I'm not pregnant and haven't been yet but this drives me nuts. Not only do I always offer a seat if I notice someone is pregnant, I have stood next to a VERY pregnant woman before on a crowded train and watched people look right at her and look away. It got to the point where *I* said something to the people sitting by us and made them get up to give her a seat. It is truly truly awful! People are ridiculous!!!

People are just plain rude! I always offer my seat to an elderly man/woman or a pregnant woman. I need to sit because my knees can't stand for the long BUT I'll live with it!

I have that happen to me ALL THE TIME. People will look at my belly and turn away. It's really annoying and I always text DH and tell him about how rude everyone is.

It's not that I NEED a seat because I'm pregnant and that's that.. It's just really difficult to stand for a long time when you have all this weight that you're carrying. There've been times where I actually felt physically sick on the train.. and I don't know what I would've done if I wasn't sitting down.

People are sooooo rude!!!! DH and I always get up for pregnany women, people with small kids and the elderly. Its really sad that soooo many people don't.

It drives me crazy when people do not offer a seat to a pregnant women. My co-worker was pregnant last summer & worked all the way up until the week before her water broke. Even at 8.5 months pregnant people still didn't offer her a seat on the train.
It is beyond rude IMO. I always offer my seat to those that are pregnant in hopes that when I am someone will be nice enough to me.

This is horrible! I hate it too (though I'm not pregnant). I always get up for pregnant people, its funny b/c I actually worry more about offending older people! I once offered to what I thought was an older woman and she declined, then I thought, wait is she really not too old?

I was on the subway with a friend once that was showing and she actually went up to a young guy and said, 'Can I sit? I'm pregnant and my back hurts.' He quickly got up and apologized to her. I think you should just start asking people to move!
