Proofs are in...

Just when I thought the hard work was over! Now I have to pick 40 out of 253 pics!! Sheesh! We picked the thank you card pic! Man now I gotta write those out....when does it end??? :-)

Just as we select photos for our album, are any of you able to do this or are we at the mercy of the video guy's preferences?

poor you, everyone gave you gifts and now you have to write out those thank you notes. The nerve of them. If they gave you nothing, you wouldn't have to do it so please be grateful. Soon enough it will come to an end and you will be crying over how you miss your wedding excitement so please be grateful.

I don't think I sounded at all ungrateful. I never mentioned anything about gifts or not being thankful for them. I was being sacastic about the work. Hense the little smile face at the end of the message.

You sort of expect that with all the build up to the 'big day' that all the hard work is behind you after you leave the reception hall. That you can come home from your honeymoon and gracefully slip into marital life with all your to-dos behind you. But its not. Writing out personalized thank you cards is only a small part. Wrapping up registries, albums, parent albums, individual photos, thank you letters to vendors who did outstanding jobs, videos, name changing docs....Its like someone moved the finish line another 2 miles after you've been running a marathon...very tiring.

We are still on the 'newlywed high' and I know it will all be fine. I do however look forward to things going back to 'normal'. Whatever normal is.

Did my thank yous right away to get it done. I also picked out my pictures within the 30 days they asked me too. I'm now going into my 6th month of marriage and have no video yet. Try to get your pictures done as soon as you can. It takes forever to get them back.

Yes, we went and it was very successful. We stayed with our basic package 36 pic album (slip in photos). Standard time is 6 months to delivery. If we ordered a flush album or any of the enhancements, OR if we had more photos, it would have taken longer!

Best bet is to go as soon as you can!

I have been married for almost 4 months, and still have not finished my thank-you's. I have about 15 to go - all friends-got the family done first. I still have not picked out my album pictures - it takes alot of time.
Karen G - did you go to your appointment yet to finalize your album? if so, how did it go??
