put an offer on a house-UPDATE

Sunday we fell in love with this house. Its perfect for us now and great for us for the future too! It has everything we need and want. Its ready to live I now and we really won't have to do much work but it has soooo many possibilties to add to it and expand in the future. We put an offer and have been going back and forth with numbers. We want this house so badly. Think good thoughts!! We should find out today. Ahhhh so nervous

UPDATE: They said they are going to wait a little to see if they get a higher offer (even though our last offer was 2500 less than what they counter offered!). The house was literally just listed, so I guess they want to wait and see. I hope it's not a complete hopeless case. Their agent said she thinks the woman wants to wait and the man wants to take the offer (they are divorced or getting divorced). boooooo

we are so in love with this house. hopefully, no one makes any offers and they go with us! Thanks for the good thoughts.

Thanks girls!!! Nothing yet. I have no patience and just want to know if they are going to take our offer.

It's actually in North Massapequa.

Re: put an offer on a house-UPDATE

More prayers for you - I hope another offer comes in and it's WAY lower and that buyer is not willing to budge at all - so that they'll go with your offer!!!

Re: put an offer on a house-UPDATE

good luck!!!

if you offered a bit more (offer exactly what they're asking for), would they accept immediately?

$2500 is a lot of money, but with a 30 year loan, it's only like $20 extra per month ...

True. This is what I'm debating now. Have to talk it over with Dino and see.

I would assume they would accept. I mean the main part of the house is completely empty/not being lived in; it's just the woman is living in the top apartment right now, so it seems like they are serious about selling.

Thanks!
