question about birthday party

I'm planning to do a wine tour for my 25th birthday. What is the absolute most that you think is fair to ask people to pay to come?

If someone couldn't come because of money, I wouldn't be mad. But of course, I don't want no one to come!

I think you should send an informal e-mail to your friends adn tell them that you want to do a wine tour for your birthday and they usually cost about XXX and see who would want to come, etc...

depends how long the tour is and what's included.

but i think that unless your friends really LOVE wine, they might opt for less hours / cheaper.

I would say less than 100 if no food is included, since they'll have to pay for that.

And it's a milestone birthday...I'd probably say about $125pp? Plus everyone naturally chips in a little for the person whose birthday it is...so with that in mind, $150-ish?

I've never done the limo/wine tasting thing though, so I don't know if my numbers are low-balling it. I'm assuming about $60-$75/person for the limo and the rest toward tastings...I've done the tasting thing and know that those are usually between $10-$30 per vineyard..

I'm thinking of a $115 package that includes 8 hrs of limo service, 4 wineries and all the tastings, and lunch. Both DH & I plan to put in extra money so that it's closer to the 90's for everyone.

I think $115 for an entire day of fun, food and limo transportation is a very fair price. And it's really nice of you guys to help offset the cost a bit!

Sorry... I don't think it's right to ask people to come to your party and expect them to pay for it too... JMHO..

The majority of my friends do stuff like this for their birthdays, so I doubt anyone would care.
