did any of you find their upgrade pricing to be really high?

i want to upgrade my cake and i keep getting upgrade fees in the 600s-- for a cake? as an upgrade?

what kind of upgrade are you doing? i didnt pick one of their cakes from their site. i gave them a pick of what i wanted and i only had to pay an extra $80 to have square tiers instead of round.

I paid for an upgrade. It was not nearly as much as your quote. What are you asking for?

apparently i like very expensive cakes- every cake i send him is fondant and he keeps giving me like 600 upgrades? eccckkk

i didnt do fondant, used buttercream instead, but i dont have a pic on my computer. i did ask him twice through email how much the upgrade was for fondant and he never answered me, so we just went with buttercream and it still came out really pretty.

I'm pretty sure they charge per person for fondant. You should ask him for a quote for the same look but buttercream. I believe that there is a picture of my cake in my album. I think I have the price for fondant in my paperwork at home I'll let you know if I find it.
