S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

I think most of us can agree that there are a few bridezillas on this board but I know we ALL probably had at least one teeny bridezilla moment. So fess up! What was yours? Was it worth it?

I had so many but the one I can think of right now was the color of the MOB and MOG dresses. They kept choosing blues and purples and my wedding color was indigo so I was worried they would look like they were intentionally matching. Every color my mom or MIL showed me I shot down (granted it was every single shade of blue and purple in the book- not a friggen red or green anywhere). I started becoming really bitchyy especially to MIL about her dress choices. At one point DH's dumb cousin asked me what was the big deal if she wore purple and I got a little snotty (he deserved it but it was still pretty zilla).

In the end, my mom wore navy and MIL wore lavendar. It looked AHMAZING along with the indigo! Who would've thunk it! I certainly enjoyed laying into DH's cousin though!

How about you?

Mine was probably when I told my DJ that if BIL made an announcement about SIL being preggers during his best man speech to cut the mic. Kayla was there to witness that fine moment and kudos to Phil from After Hours for not telling me I was a lunatic

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

It had to be for me, everything with my younger sister and the whole MOH responsibility issue. I was a friggan biotch to my sister and I just couldn't understand why she always put her stupid job in front of everyone, like she's was some career success woman - and she was a friggan shoe saleswoman - not a lawyer.

And it made me MORE angry when my parents sided with her after her year of giving them more crap than I ever did when I was her age.

Another thing was the guest issue, and people bringing dates that they weren't serious with and telling me that its wrong to invite people without guests when I've been to weddings where it was done to me and other people, and for good reason. It made me so angry that a few people couldn't understand it was for monetary reasons - NOT personal, not because I couldn't trust them to bring a guest that wasn't gonna cause some kind of drama (even though I had the slightest feeling one of them had that intention)- I just couldn't afford it.

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

I had 1 and 1 only! Right before the RD, my 2 MOH's went to the dry cleaners to pick up my dress which had just been steamed. So, once I get to my mom's house to change for the RD, one of my BM's who was checking out my dress said 'Oh my god, look at the back of your dress'. There were black oil stains going down the back of my dress!!!! Apparently the dry cleaner told my MOH's to take it out of the bag and let it breathe. Well, they took this to mean 'lets lay the dress over the back seat of the car so it doesn't wrinkle' My dress got oil and dirt on the back when they pulled it out of the car. I'm assuming it touched the tires or something.

I flipped the f*uck out and let loose on both of them (both MOH's are my sisters). It was horrible!!! One of my sister said she was gonna punch me..I wanted to throw her down a flight of stairs. It was so bad...I dont ever remember being so mad! i told them they ruined my wedding and how much I hated them (sooooo bad).

The dry cleaners was closing in 15 mins, so my godfather and I RUSHED my dress there and I threw it on the counter and was crying my eyes out to the owner! I cut the whole line...woops. He said he thought he could get the stains out but wouldn't know til the next morning (my wedding day). Well, on the morning of the wedding DH was there when they opened and the dress was perfect, Thank god!

if it wasn't...there would have been serious hell to pay for my MOH's!!!

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

jeez I had sooooooo many
I was the worst starting with 2 weeks to the wedding. I flipped out on DH when he told me his sister wants to bring her baby. I was crying hysterically, stomping my feet and cursing the whole world saying that I cant marry him anymore like what????? LMAO

my biggest one was at the wedding when I saw my huppa. it was the OPPOSITE of what I asked for. It looked exactly what I told the florist specifically NOT to do. OMG the yelling and the cursing that ensued from my pretty maked up face I actually saw at the corner of my eye my videogrpher backing up into the corner as he didnt want to be in my path of distruction.
eventho this yelling was totally deserved I couldve just said 'change it. now.' what was I thinking??????

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

My poor, sweet dad caught the brunt of my worst moment....

We did hand calligraphy for our invites and there was a delay in getting them out and I was really sensitive about it....it was like the first major deadline that we had missed and it was SOOOOO important to me at the time. So my dad says 'so and so asked if their invite got lost because they haven't received it yet...' and that was it....I FLIPPED OUT...he just caught me at the wrong moment and said the wrong thing......next thing he knew I was ranting, raving, cursing....

My sweet dad! I felt SO horrible!

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

Hmm I actually don't think I was too bad. I did have one bridezilla moment that I remember vividly though. My aunt and my mom had been putting together the damask room divider. It was their baby. Well, the paper wasn't lining up properly and it looked really shoddy- like a little kid had done it. I wanted to scrap the whole project but they insisted they could fix it. I told them by all means, fix it if you can, but if I don't like it- we're not using it and had a bit of an attitude. I ended up eating my words. My aunt went home and meticulously lined up the paper so it looked perfect. She did an amazing job. I almost cried when she showed me how it came out. And since then, I've never lost faith in those two again.

Now, I was accused of being a bridezilla just about every other day, but I don't think I was being one.

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

I honestly can only think of one Bridezilla moment... I had arrived at the venue and was in the bridal suite... DH and I were to see each other for the first time and then do pictures... and it was taking forever for me to see him. I asked my sister to see what was going on and she came back a bit later to say they were waiting for the boutineers to arrive.... I was so anxious at this point to see him I told her '**** the flowers - get me to see David immediately - or I'm just going to walk down stairs and Dan be Damned'...(Dan was our photographer). She went down stairs and finally Dan came up and said he'd rather pics with out a boutineer than with a red faced bride... Once I saw DH - I couldn't have cared what happened.

same here.

at my first dress fitting, i was with the seamstress in a tiny (and really warm) room ... my mom decided to open the door so that the seamstress (an old lady) would be more comfortable. I flipped out and yelled at my mom to close the door, but she was being annoying and refused. FINALLY we came to the conclusion of keeping the door half-open. I just didn't want people in the store (not that anyone else was there) to see me in my dress (plus, it was too big so i was holding it up and didn't want people to see my boobies or whatnot lol) ... i think i'm only half to blame for this though ... if my mom just closed the door when i asked her to (nicely at first), it would've been over!

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

Mine was the day of my wedding, I was getting out of the limo when my dress got caught on the tire, and there was a HUGE streak of tire grease on the back of my train. To me, it was huge. So I flipped out. Yelled at the driver, yelled at my DH, yelled at my BMs, basically yelled at anyone standing within 5 ft of me.

looking back on it, the streak wasn't that noticeable unless I pointed it out to you. But at the time, it was like my world was over lol

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

The worst one that comes to mind came about 3 months after we got engaged! One day I received a phone call from a company that I wasn't familiar with that we won 3 free nights at the hotel of our choosing. We were picked at random through some bridal thing that I had signed up for. I was super skeptical about it from the start, but DH had the 'what do we have to lose' mentality...

Needless to say, I lost my cool. On the day we were scheduled to pick up our voucher for the hotel, when we showed up, the place was closed! I started flipping out and crying, saying I never wanted the stupid free hotel in the first place and blamed DH for making me go there. Patient man that he is, he called the people, told them we were standing outside and they're very much closed and what should we do. The person said someone would be there momentarily, but I was so mortified and in hysterics that I made DH turn around and go home

Why do weddings make people insane? Why did I have to be one of them lol

Don't feel bad! You missed nothing! If they showed up, they would've kept you there for hours trying to sell you stuff and probably would've made you cry some more. Trust me, I know from experience.

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

My only real breakdown was when we first registered. The guy that we met took us around BBB and would ask 'do you need anything from this section?' - he would hold things up, and bounce from place to place - DH and I had to make decisions on the spot and it stressed me out.

When we got to china - ugg I was soo overwhelemed. We left BBB and I was miserable. We go back to my parents house and i just broke down -hysterically crying over a sugar bowl. Yeap, a suar bowl. About how expensive it was, how could I ask people to pay for these types of things, who do I think i am asking for such crazy gifts.

It was ridic and poor DH had NOO idea what to do.

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

my only zilla moment(s) i say (s) because the same thing happened several times...

when people kept stepping on my dress and breaking my bustle... i mean by the end of the little loop to wrap around my wrist was hooked on the top button of my dress to keep it up

eta: needless to say i had several minor freakouts... the first time happened at the cocktail hr... i was upset but OK... the ones that happened during the reception pissed me off...

Re: S/O: What was your biggest bridezilla moment?

I was only called a 'bridezilla' once, and it was by my mom...but to this day, I still think I was 100% right! I made an appointment to try on dresses for the first time, and I invited a friend, my mom, and my sister. My mom and friend of course said yes, and my sister could have cared less. The morning of the appointment my mom was running late and taking her sweet as$ time. I've always been early to everything, so this was already driving me crazy. We were about to leave, and my mom said (to my sister who wasn't even dressed) 'Hey Stacey, want to come with us?' and she said 'Of course!' And told us to give her an hour. HECK NO!!!! I flipped out, and my sister wound up not going. My mom was so angry at me, but whatever .
