Seeing each other before the ceremony...

I was wondering if anyone here tell me what they did at their wedding regarding seeing each before the ceremony? Did anyone do this, and how do you think it was better or a bad idea? My fiance and I can't decide what to do. Thanks!

did not do it...

HI Melissa, We did not see each other before the ceremony and I am glad we did it that way. We wanted to hold onto the traditions that meant something to each of us and this was one of them. Besides, the BMS and the ushers kept me up to date with the goings on anayway. It is 11 months as of Saturday!! Feel free to ask any questions- I hope I can be of help! Good Luck!

We didn't see each other before either, despite the pleas from our photographer! I have been getting comments from my guests for the past month about the look on my husband's face as I was walking down the aisle. FOr us, it was worth it. Believe it or not, we caught the end of our cocktail hour so we were very glad we chose to do it that way. It's really a decision you have to make on your own -- I know many people who do see each other before and are happy they did it that way too!

Seeing each other before the ceremony...

We did not see each other, either. Yes, it's quite a personal choice, and it's up to each couple whether it's important. It was important for us...kinda fun...adds to the excitement. It was worth it! Luckily, we had plenty of time between the ceremony and reception for pictures, so there was no need to take pictures before...I cherrish the time we had between the two while others moaned and groaned about the gap! Best of luck!

Seeing each other before the ceremony...

We did see each other before the ceremony. We needed to because of the pictures--since our wedding & reception were at the same place, there was only a little more than 1 hour between the end of the ceremony & the start of the meal. I hadn`t wanted to, but in the end I am glad we did. We needed the whole cocktail hour for photos (including group shots with about 9 different sets of relatives). It was also about the only 5 minutes we had alone until well after the end of the reception. We used a wedding coordinator & she made sure I had a 'grand entrance' and that we had a few minutes alone together.
