Re: starting tattoo removal today

good luck!!!

ps: one girl on 2011 board posted recently about a cream she bought at walmart for $50 that supposedly removes the tatoo .... you may want to look into that as an alternative ... if it works (it had mixed reviews on amazon) ... i wish i remembered what it was called or at least who was saying it .... but i'm useless - sorry.

Re: starting tattoo removal today

Im in the middle of getting one done. Not going to lie - it hurts. It's not terrible but it's not fun.

Where are you getting it done?

ETA: I wouldnt use that cream. You have to remove the upper layer of skin yourself and then put chemicals .. no thanks. If you want it removed correctly you should be going to a Dr.

Im going to Dr. Rand. He is expensive but supposedly the best. I havent had any problems as far as skin abrasions or burning. Ive heard horror stories about unqualified people using the lasers. I wont scare you but just make sure youre going to someone professional

Yep - hes a sweetheart. He'll have you lay down and he'll talk to you while he freezes the area with cold air so youre at a temp where its not unbearable. Hes a bit eccentric in the way he talks .. such as he'll say something and pause and you dont know if hes waiting for you to answer or if hes just pausing for effect. haha.

He'll then put goggles on you and hes great in that he'll say 'okay 20 seconds before we start' .. then he starts and he'll keep you up on how long before a break and he'll ask how youre doing. Its over quickly, he'll bandage it and you'll be on your way.

Good luck. Hes awesome. He knows what hes doing and he'll make it as comfortable as he can.

It depends on how long youve had it, where it is, what colors, skin type, etc.

Im paying thousands. Its insane.
