Why is everyone asking me' 'So when are you having a baby?'

TWo people asked me today at work, and one said, 'get a move on girl!'

Are you all being asked this question too?

I think it's funny, but it's starting to get old real fast, considering the fact that I keep saying, 'no we aren't having one soon.'

Oh my goodness, you sound like me!! First it's 'when are you getting married' then after u are married it's 'when are you having a baby'.... then after the firest one it will be 'when are you having another one'.....i realized that the people asking it, really are just bored. This is what I say.....'Not sure, but you will be the FIRST one to know when I am'....I love sarcasm

This is an 'never ending' question for a Newlywed!

I jumped right in with my family and friends and told them 'I'm having puppies...not kids'...

some respected that (knowing us...) some didn't... I got 'oh, well, when are you having children??'

Dh and I decided not to ... but even if we had... my response would have been...

'we'll have kids when you will pay for their college education.'

They shut up real quick...and give you some time to plan and breathe!

i have to say, no one has ever askedme this...yet! except for my mom who is dying for grandkids and says it in fun...kind of.

We have decided on being child free. People finally have stopped asking me but I used to tell them -when my MIl was still here- 'I already have my MIL in diapers- I dont need another one'

Then I used Emily's saying- I am having puppies - no kids.
DH on the other hand- his customers have not stopped asking him- and he is getting so annoyed

my BM asked me this when she clearly knew i wasn't ready for one yet - please stop! it'll come eventually...but for now, let us enjoy our peace and quiet!
