teeny rant

i was looking at my 1 br apt last night. its disgusting. there's clothing everywhere. we dont have space for all the crap we have. i have no idea how we'd stuff a baby and all that baby crap in here on top of all this.

we could move- that would seem like the normal thing to do. but we dont know where we want to live!?!?! isnt this the stupidest problem to have?!?!!!

Anyone go through this before buying a home?

i rant with you, my friend. we have a 1.5 br, but its not much better...and its especially not so good when you live with a hoarder

Oh yes, DH and I dither back and forth on this all the time! Some days we're all about staying Queens, then Dan headed to Westchester to do work on a friend's house and he was all about that, then we think well maybe just Nassau, it's not too far from Queens/Manhattan. I just don't know.

ETA: We rent 2 floors in a house, so we have more than enough room for kids, but the rental agreement ends in November, soooooooo then what? They might want us to stay, but who knows?!

Trust me.. I get ya...

I'm in a 1 br with 2 large dogs and 2 cats.... No room, no storage...nada.

Want a house (close to where we currently are), but just can't do it yet...... And we're actually considering moving down to NC...
Just need the money!!

We are in the same boat...If I have a 'whooooops', our future child will be ion our bedroom with us until we either can find a bigger place or win the lotto to get a downpayment for a house...

yeah, dh keeps asking me where we would live if we win the lotto. even as bajillionaires, we cant figure it out!

actually I want DH to work his magic to get our kids into a tony public school on UES but he refuses for many reasons, mainly because its immoral.

i kinda want my kids to go to public school but that might change.

DH and I are totally in the same boat ... 1 br apartment and waaaay too much stuff. our closets are full (of clothes, boxes, a wedding gown etc) and we even have a bunch of boxes in the bedroom.

I think if we had a baby in this apartment, it would be do-able, but we'd def need to adjust to having even less space.

We wanted to buy a house, but it just didn't work out ... maybe in the next year or two ... maybe not - we'll see

We just moved from a 1br to a 2br.. with a baby due in July.. and somehow we have NO SPACE for anything. You would think bigger apt = more space.. but nope. I feel like we have zero storage space.. and have nowehre to put anything. The baby room is currently our storage space.. I don't know what we're going to do with all that stuff when the baby gets here.

I hear ya! We are in a very tiny 1 BR...if we had a baby I dont know what we'd do...I'd have to put the kids bassinett on the washing machine, or kicthen table or something.

We definitely need to wait until we have more $$ and a bigger place before that happens!

We're in a 1 bedroom too and we have DEF overgrown our stay there. Everytime I turn a corner there is a box or something in my way. It just looks cluttered! I cannot wait to get a house we're talking about 1.5 to 2 years before that happens. We figured if we got pregnant before then my mom said the baby doesn't need much the first 6 months or so except sleeping things, bathtub, diapers, and some bottles. That made me feel a little better but like my FIL said to us once, 'you'll never be able to afford having kids, you'll never have the room for kids, but for some reason, you just make it all work out.'

We own a home, before that we were in 2 different apartments. Started with 600 sq ft, then 1200 sq ft, now our home around 1700 sq ft and we still have no room!
