Re: trip to north fork of LI - recommend wineries, restaurants, hotels, attractions, etc
My in-laws live out there and my parents rent a home every summer so I'm pretty familiar with the area. We sometimes stay at The Morning Glory in Greenport (if we don't feel like staying with the parents), its the nicest b&b imo. Its also walking distance to the town. Greenport's town has the most restaurants/shops. Claudio's is the most well known and I believe its the oldest restaurant in the country (says so on the door lol). The food is great here. As for vineyards, Pindar is the most well known, wine is pretty good and on the weekends (during peak season) they have good entertainment. My personal fav is Osprey Dominion, love their wine. I really don't like Vineyard 58, they sold it a year or so ago, not as good anymore. Jason's vineyard is nice, he is the son of Pindar. Laurel Lake is another I don't care for. HTH!ETA: My absolute fav restaurant is Legends in New Suffolk. They have the best wings ever! However, my FIL told me they are remodeling so the bar isn't open till May but the nicer restaurant part is open.

One of my fav's is Peconic Bay... they have a great outside area to sit and over look the vineyards. We also try to get to Pindar, Pugliese & Pellegrini when we go... Yeah.. we seem to like all the 'P' places!
Last time I was at Raphael, I loved the atmosphere (but wasn't crazy about the wine... though I'm talking about 2 years ago, so that may have changed).
If you're planning on Dinner - Luce and Hawkins is amazing..a bit pricey but well worth the money!

What time of year?my favorite for wine is Pindar
for beauty is Rafael
I love Baiting Hallow cuz its down the block from my dad's house and so cozy. the wine is yummy too.
When we went to peconic bay they had great music and we sat outside. lots of fun.
Ospreys, duckwalk & martha clara are good
comtesse therese is a french restaurant inside a little house and they have their own wine. the whole experience is soo romantic and the food is delish!!

I took dad on a wine tasting trip back in January and I highly recommend Laurel Lake and Duck Walk. I also heard Pindar is very good, it's the sister winery to Duck Walk.

I love Pindar- $5 tastings! We also always go to Jason's Vineyard so Jason can get glassware that says 'Jason's Vineyard' on it
...but for real, they're awesome too.I have heard great things about Martha Clara even though I have not yet been there

I 2nd going into the town of Greenport.Cute town I love walking around it. Claudios is an amazing restaurant but I find the prices a little high. If you drive a little further out Orient by the Sea has great food, right on the water. As for the wineries considering I have a house out there never been to any

We went out there on our Mini-moon-Loved Bendels and Martha Clara Vineyards, skip Duck Walk, its definitely not worth it. Been to both the one on the north fork and in the Hamptons and its dumpy IMO.Make sure to hit Love Lane Kitchen for dinner

I went out for my bachelorette party and I remember having a BLAST but the details are a bit hazy...I know my cousin who lives out there loves Castello di Borghese and I remember having fun at Jamesport winery....

Pindar & Baiting Hollow are my favorites!! Make sure you try the desert wines at Pindar...they cost a little extra but are to die for! We had the Pindar Reisling ice wine as our signature drink at our wedding.
