TTD Hair...

How did those of you who did them do your hair?? My hair is long so I'm not sure what to do with it. I can curl it but they don't hold bc my hair is too silky. Is it worth paying to get your done do you think?

Re: TTD Hair...

I chopped my hair after my wedding so I just wore it down with my headpiece as a headband. The pics are suppose to be more fun and casual I dont think its worth paying for your hair to get done. But it you feel its important I say go for it

Re: TTD Hair...

After you wash your hair put a strong volumizing moose in your hair, that usually works for me if I want that loose wave hair and it stays..

Re: TTD Hair...

I was wondering what to do for mine too! Especially since we were going to be in mexico...I didn't want to pay for it to get wet in an hour.

Re: TTD Hair...

I went to the salon to get my hair done - but I wanted a certain look so I couldn't do it at home plus I suck at curling my hair. I don't have my pics back yet, but this gives you an idea:

Re: TTD Hair...

I am really good at getting a curl to hold in any hair. Here's what you do. Take a curling iron and hold a strand of hair about 1 or 2 inches from your scalp and then curl the strand of hair around the iron. Hold for 5 seconds. Let go and then take that curl and wrap it back up and pin it to your head with the bobby pin. Do this with the rest of your hair then hair spray it. Lots of hairspray!! Keep it in the pins as long as possible, or at least until the hairspray is completely dry. Your curls really should hold. I find this process gives more natural curls than actual curlers, because you're starting the curl away from your scalp.

HTH!

Re: TTD Hair...

also, the smaller the curling iron, the better. those big barrel irons really don't do much!
