** Very late NWQOTD: Sept 9th**

HI ladies!!!

So sorry for the lateness of this question. I'm planning a BBQ for tomorrow and have been in non-stop motion since I got home.

Today's question!!

Looking back on your wedding, besides yourself, who was the HARDEST person/people to please????

For me, my BMs. I love them all but they made everything so impossible that I rarely asked them for help on anything. Sometimes they gave advice that would be helpful but a lot of times, they were only thinking of themselves and not the group as a whole. Blahhhh

I didn't do bridesmaid for that reason! My MIL was the hardest to please....

Nobody really - we only cared about pleasing eachother (hubby and I) - and if anyone else had an issue w/ anything, we didn't hear about it. And if they did say something, we could care less. lol

My aunt, who I am currently not speaking with because of this issue (and it's funny because she's the one not speaking to me, i never had words with her, she told my mom she wants nothing to do with me...)

The sad part is, she brought it up a year later, because she found a thread between me and my friend online FROM A YEAR AGO where I said 'my aunt thinks when people give you an envelope with money, they have to get a favor, doing a donation is very selfish and you're only doing it for the tax write off'.

She had other words about my wedding (colors, location, etc). yet she had 2 failed marriage and no kids. hmm....

Can't please em all. And besides, no one else has said anything to me if they had a lousy time, all I ever here is 'best wedding I ever been too'. :)

My DH's great Aunts and Uncles.

However, I don't really care.

They spent the whole wedding plugging their ears because 'the DJ was too loud'

It really wasn't. Everyone else was dancing all night and having a great time and this includes the people sitting even closer to the DJ than they were!

My mom. Not because she's picky, but she was pickyt about herself and her dress. She drove me NUTS. She picked out a gorgeous gown and then didn't pick it up until a month or so before and then was so anxious she wouldn't bring it for alterations. Then our normal lady said she couldn't do it and our cousin's lady totally messed it up, making it too tight so my mom coulodn't wear a bra. Of course my mom didn't try it on until day of. So now my mom hates and won't look at the wedding pics for the most part. It makes me so sad.

Also, some people just annoyed me along the way.

My mom's friends helped a LOT, but I snapped at one of them. I was getting the yarmulke baskets ready and she was like 'Why are you having yarmulkes in a church? They're allowing that?'

'Yes, because my FH is Jewish'

'Well, I don't think any of the Catholics are going to wear them. Why would they wear them?'

'Oh, I don't know, maybe OUT OF RESPECT?'

we had one and only one person that caused us grief and aggravation...
MIL

She wanted input of everything but we didnt take it...the only thing we cared about was US being happy and getting what we wanted!!!

She contributed 5000 and felt she was entitled to have a say in EVERYTHING
we picked the photographer...she emails us a link to her friend that takes nature photos and says he can do it cheaper
we picked our colors, she said she didnt like them
we picked the DJ, she sent us over 100 songs that she wanted on the 'must play list'
going into it she was not happy with ANYTHING we did - but we did it anyway. in the end she said the day was perfect! (she also wrote on her facebook status how amazing and magical it was and she 'cant believe after a year of planning it is over'....what planning did she do?!?!?! )
UGH i cant stand her

MY PARENTS!!!!!!! They had opinions about EVERYTHING! My BP was non-existent so it was easy to please them! And my MIL forgot everything I told her and then told DH I didn't tell her that we planned 'XYZ'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why with this second wedding we decided to tell everyone 'if you think it's ridiculous or silly, don't come...it's fine'.
