Wedding Card messages

Switching gears... I just thought about this as we were talking about non-gifters. My buddy gave us a card but said that our gift was 'coming in a few weeks' (nothing yet)... He's not working so I'm okay with that at this time. He wrote one of the best messages on the inside of the card to us. It was a heartfelt message with a bible verse and all.

Did you ladies get any special messages that you didn't expect?

i got some really amazing heartfelt messages in some of my cards. One of my co workers who told me beforehand that he couldn't afford to give me a gift (which was fine with me) gave us a gift card to a free dinner at his house! Which i thought was nice.
