What did you guys think of your video?

I just got my video back this past Saturday. It was eh... yeah 'eh' would be the word to describe it. It has everything... the ceremony, the speeches, but the quality just wasnt great and the picture quality wasnt what I expected. I was never into the whole video thing from the beginning, I just got it cause people said that it is a good thing to remember the day. I know I also got a good price... It was $1300 I think for the video.
I just want to know what you guys thought of your video.
I dont think there is any point in complaining to the place about it since it is just the way the video was but I felt like venting

What did you guys think of your video?

We spent $400 on our video...filmed by a friend of a friend, who's a pro. I didn't give it much attention until after I got it; in fact, we weren't going to have one at all until a few weeks before.

I haven't gotten mine yet but paid about what you did.

Just curious to know who did your video? (if you don't mind me asking). I'm curious to know if its the same group as ours...and, more importantly, my sister is shopping for someone for her wedding and if yours was disappointing, I'd like to steer her in a different direction.

Video to DVD or CD ROM

It was suggested to me by family to have my video copied onto DVD or CD ROM. The video's only last about 15 years before the tape starts wearing out and such. CD's and DVD's never wear out. Who knew?

I am going to copy mine someday when I get a DVD Player.

My video was great, but my quality wasn't perfect at certain spots either. A suggestion: replace some of the music they put in with songs you love. It changes the way you view it. I have a lot of nature jazz music on mine. There is about 3 songs and I wish I went back and asked her to incorporate my own stuff. I have 3 songs in there and I love those parts more than the others with jazz. It really changes the way you see it.

We actually were told to pick the music we wanted before they made the video. So the sound is fine. It is just for instance, during the interviews (they interview the parents a friends tables), I wold hear the video person saying thank you in her oh so irritating voice at the end of the interviews... I think that should have been edited out. Also the time stamp in the top corner of the screen instead of being edited out. Also during the growing up pictures, they cropped off people in the picture.
I like having the ceremony on tape but there was light changes like bad quality, that shouldn't have been occuring since they were technically professionals

That stuff should definetely be edited out. You have the right to view it and request changes too. I would if I were you.
