What should I do about this?

So I still have two friends out there who we never got cards from but did the whole 'Oh we forgot them in the car' etc. etc.

I'm over that... assuming I'm never getting them.

Well it came up with one of them about a month ago and they said to me:

'OMG. It's hanging on the fridge.... I keep meaning to go get a stamp.'

Now... this is one of my friends from high school whose husband we hired to be our photographer.

So since her husband was doing our pictures she asked if she could bring her sister as her date. I said sure.

So she continues and says 'PLEASE don't tell Liz because HER gift to you is in there too.'

Now both of these friends I already sent thank you cards to. I had no idea that this girl's sister would think to give us a gift?

And she was the only sister out of 3 in a family that I didn't individually invite. I'm not friends with her so... I didn't invite her. But now I find out she gave us a gift and I feel bad because I didn't send her a thank you.

Part of me wishes that when this conversation happened I would've just been like 'What! She gave us gift? Well make sure you give me her address so I can send a thank you!'

But... I didn't.

So now what?

Re: What should I do about this?

Just ask for the address...say something like 'i went to write her a thank you but I realized I don't have her address'

Or don't write it until you get the gift.

Re: What should I do about this?

I would just contact your friend and get her sister's address. Send the sister a thank you card with something like 'I wanted to send a special thank you to you for coming to our wedding and for the generous gift. Sorry this is so late but I just got your address but we hope you had a great time at the wedding.' Just something like that real quick. DEF send her a thank you though.

If she didn't give a gift I could see not sending her a gift because she was just a date, but you found out she gave a gift so just send out a late thank you and say you just got her address.
