Would you change anything?

Had some down time at work...looking at some pics. Just curious if any of you look back and wish you could change one thing -- something major/minor, doesn't matter. Or maybe it's nothing at all?!

I know overthinking is not good and it's done and over with, but if I could go back...I would do my hair a little differently. Perhaps more curls, add some extensions, maybe... I wasn't completely thrilled with it - I liked it, didn't love it. Pretty major thing for a bride too

Re: Would you change anything?

I would have asked for double the buttons for my bustle because 3 out of the 5 ended up popping off.
That left the back of my dress looking a little messy.

I totally agree! I hated the way FBB, guy did my flowers on the cake and I would have also asked my photographers to take pictures with me and friends that were at the wedding. I am usually the one behind the camera and wish I took more posed shots...

Re: Would you change anything?

I would have brought a curling iron or kept doing makeup/hair trials until i was 100% happy. My curls fell out after pics before the ceremony. our photog did have us jumping around and stuff though. I also would've gotten hair extensions for my hair to be fuller.

and I STILL think about this second dress I was going to get everyone talked me out of it but I think it would've been awesome to have more variety in the pics.

I would've went with a different store for bridesmaids dresses. what a nightmare.

Re: Would you change anything?

I agree about the posed shots! I didn't have a large BP, and I wanted more pics with some of my girl friends.

Reminded our DJ that we wanted him to play the anniversary song for all married couples. I guess our minds were kind of wandering that day!

Would you change anything?

My day was absolutely fantastic but there are a few things I would have done differnt. I wouldn't have tried to make cocktail hour, we ended up only talking to a handful of people but still missed out on the food! I wouldn't have let the DJ keep pushing us out into the middle of a circle on the dance floor, I didn't want everyone to watch us dance... I wanted EVERYONE to dance, that really annoyed me. I forgot to get a picture of just me and my godmother (although I think it was on my must take photo list) and I would have reapplied makeup in the middle of the day. The photos with friends and some of the other posed photos at the end of the day were obvious it was at the end of the day. All little things, nothing that took away from the greatness of the day :)

Would you change anything?

2 biggest regrets: I would have taken a video camera around with me to capture fun moments. (I didnt have the $$ for a videographer) And I would asked for a bouquet sample before my wedding date. I ended up HATING the bouquets and now the ugly bouquets are in all of the pictures! In the grand scheme of things though, it was still the best day ever.

Would you change anything?

I would have had my photographer take more pictures with family members. We only have a few pictures with grandparents and NOTHING with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I also wish we had a second photographer / videographer go to the location where DH was getting ready. My husband didn't think it was necessary since he was getting ready in a hotel and I gave in.

Wish I was better prepared mentally for bad weather...was in the 40s and rainy memorial day weekend and the ceremony and cocktail hour were both supposed to be outside...who would have thought?

Re: Would you change anything?

My hair completely came apart by the end of the night.. more hair pins maybe? It was stunning for the ceremony but for pics it was getting looser. By midnight, the flower clip was practically dangling :( Hoping my pics look neat!! Praying!!!!

Would you change anything? - Long Island Weddings

I would have done a different hairstyle…i hated the way the bang part fell on my forehead and since I have a lot of hair, pulling it all to one side was not a good idea in hindsight. To give her credit, the hairstylist did a great job because thats what i thought i wanted, but i wish i had done it all down.

I also wish i had worked directly with the bakery for the cake instead of letting the venue be the middleman.. they made it YELLOW for some reason. An ugly yellow. I told them ivory. what the heck?

I also would have done a first look instead of seeing each other for the first time at the altar. While it was amazing to see each other for the first time at the ceremony, i think we would have gotten much better pictures and i would have been happier in the aftermath. In general i felt so rushed that we skipped a lot of the pictures i wanted to do simply because of lack of time. we barely took any pics at the venue.

I was facing a lot of resentment from my family. If possible, I would have liked a much more harmonious participation.
