Yankee fans

I think for our anniversary I'm going to get tickets to a yankee game for me and DH.

They aren't playing at home the weekend of our anniversary so my options are the weekend before (vs. Tampa Bay Rays) or the weekend after (vs. Oakland Athletics). It would either be the Friday night game or the Sunday afternoon game.

Not knowing too much about baseball, which game do you think my huge yankee fan DH would like to see? Also, is there a big difference between Friday night and Sunday afternoon games?

friday = night + drinking
sunday = sun

i think a sunny sunday would be nice. has more of a picnic feel

Rays are in their division so they face them more often. It's a toss up really - but I'd lean more towards the Rays (p.s. - I'm not a Yankee fan but I would rather watch an interdivision game for my team cause it means a bit more to me).

fh is a hugeeeeeeee yankee fan and to be honest the guy could care less who they're playing.lol
going to yankee stadium beats watching it on YES anyday.

if you can swing it look into the jim beam suites tickets.

they arent super close but they do look over home plate. oh and the seats are big and cushioned plussss they give you access to the restaurant which has a nice clean bathroom.

i made the mistake and buying these tickets for fh for his bday the first year at the new stadium. friggin guy doesnt want to sit anywhere else. lol

Not a Yankees fan but DH is and I'm a HUGE baseball fan. The Rays are a better team to watch vs the Yankees. If I were to ask DH which one he would want he would probably pick the Rays (unless he has more A's on his fantasy team, which I doubt).

Friday game: Drinking, kick off the weekend, first game of the series usually...

Sunday game: Fun in the sun, last game of the series usually so if they sweep, you are there. Bad part is if the Yankees are down in the series, people might be Rays fans and bring brooms for their sweep to which that is very annoying!

I was thinking maybe Fri. night because its July so a Sun. afternoon would be really hot.

plus if it gets to hot and you want to get some ac show your ticket and go right into the suite

I was just going to say that about going on a Friday night. Plus the Rays would be a better team to see!
