Real Long Island Wedding: Emily & Jake
The Proposal – A Sunset at Montauk Point
Emily Collins and Jake Marino had been inseparable since their senior year at Stony Brook University. Their love story was one of serendipity, laughter, and a shared love for Long Island’s coastal beauty. After six years together, Jake knew it was time to make it official.
On a crisp autumn evening, he led Emily to Montauk Point Lighthouse under the guise of a weekend getaway. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold, he got down on one knee. With the sound of waves crashing against the shore and a gentle breeze carrying his heartfelt words, he asked Emily to be his forever. With happy tears in her eyes, she whispered a breathless, "Yes!"
The Wedding Planning – Long Island Elegance
The couple wanted their wedding to be a perfect reflection of their love—timeless, elegant, and full of Long Island charm. They chose The Vineyards at Aquebogue for its picturesque scenery and romantic ambiance. With the help of expert planners, they envisioned a day filled with lush florals, twinkling lights, and a dance floor packed with loved ones.
Emily found her dream dress at Bridal Reflections, a breathtaking lace gown that made her feel like a queen. Jake and his groomsmen suited up at Foresto Tuxedo in Mineola, choosing classic black tuxes for a sophisticated touch.
For entertainment, they booked HI DEF DJs, ensuring their reception would be nothing short of a party, and Studio 27was set to capture every unforgettable moment.
The Wedding Day – A Dream Come True
On a warm June afternoon, Emily and Jake prepared for the most magical day of their lives.
The ceremony was held in the lush gardens of The Vineyards, where Emily walked down the aisle to the sound of a string quartet playing "Can't Help Falling in Love." As she locked eyes with Jake, she felt an overwhelming sense of joy. Their vows were personal and heartfelt, bringing tears to their guests. When the officiant finally pronounced them husband and wife, cheers erupted as they shared their first kiss as a married couple.
The reception was a whirlwind of celebration. The newlyweds entered the ballroom to thunderous applause, and after their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”, the party truly began. From the lively Hora dance (a nod to Emily’s Jewish heritage) to the surprise performance by a live saxophonist accompanying the DJ, the energy was electric.
The night ended with a sparkler send-off as the couple drove off in a vintage Rolls-Royce from Camelot Limos, ready to begin their honeymoon in the Hamptons before jetting off to Italy.
