Hank Lane

Has anyone used Hank Lane Music for a band? They recommended Hank Lane's Review and I was wondering if anyone has heard of them, or used them... Thanks.

Good luck, Mark

I saw them perform at a business function for the Opening of the 'W' hotel in the city. THey were the best band I ever saw & heard at these functions. The whole night the dance floor was crowded. The people didn't want to leave when it was over. That is unusal for strangers at a business gathering. They must have had 10 people up on stage. I called for their brochure & needless to say they are pricey. But it all depends on how many people you get in the band. I say check 'em out!!

Good luck, Mark

That's how I feel too. If the music is good everyone has a good time. They did everything from very current music you hear on the radio now to all the other wedding music. A really great selection of tunes. The 2 women in the band had incredible voices too. I think it's important to have a male & female singer. Sorry, off the top of my head I can't remember the price. I think they have a website. Give them a call and they'll send you a package.

Good luck, Mark

Hank Lane Review has 2 female singers and 1 male I believe. I think you just sold me on them, and comparitively, they really aren't that expensive. They started at $5400 for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, but we talked them down to $4800 for all 6 hours...Not that bad.

Good luck, Mark

I didn't realize you had gotten to that point already. No that price does not sound bad at all. I can't believe you could talk them down. Good for you! Have you heard them yet?

I heard a demo tape, but they don't show a video. I wanted to get advice before I actually booked them. I also wanted to know what they quoted other people because if I could talk them down that far, I wanted to know if I could go further...ya know?

Good luck, Mark

I haven't made it to the quoting stage yet. I just went by what was in the brochure. You should go see them in action though.

Yes that does sound like a good place for you to check. Hmmm contemporary--maybe the other girls will have some ideas. I only checked out country/victorian halls.......Good Luck Gina

not to confuse you, but the band i booked is called heart and soul and they are an 8 pc band with 1 lead male and 2 female singers. they are amazing and alot less then hank lane. they are part of franklin wayne. i would not use hank lane because i wanted to see a band perform live. i know a few people that have used hank lane bands and i hear they are great!!!

We are using them too. I got a price of 1100 for a superstretch 12-14p and a 6-8 person limo. One limo is for 4 hrs and one is for 3hrs.

They were one of the most reasonable companies we saw.

Rosalyn, I am just starting to look at bands and need some help. Could you give me some info on Hank Lane - such as a phone and location. Also any other recommendations. Your help is greatly appreciated. Good luck with your planning.

Ok if Bedells West Wind, is the old West Wind Yacht Club it is very nice for a small affair say about 150, I had a surprise B-Day party for my Mother there a few years ago and people are still taking about the food. The Main Maid Inn, I would never think of as a catering hall, unless they have an extension that I have never seen, It has an old country style to it and the food is good and the service is excellent, we do brunches there from time to time. It is perfect for a small group of say around 50, with a small dance floor, usually when I go there I see small family groups gathering to celebrate a B-day or anniversary, actually it is the perfect place for a rehearsal diner...hope that this helps

You can go to www.hanklane.com and find their info for both of their locations. I went to the one in Manhattan and dealt with Michelle who was really nice. I have personally seen and heard on two seperate occasions Chuck Campo's group and Art's group. Both 6-7 pieces and they were great!!! I booked the Hank Lane Review. Let me know what you think after hearing them.
