i heard about it...but i don't think i actually heard it...unless it didn't storm in queens? i'm not sure...i wasn't really paying attention to whether or not the ground was wet this morning either oh well! i sleep pretty soundly...i love storms though!!

I wouldn't have heard it either, except my dog hates the thunder, she gets so scared... she hopped on the bed with me at 5:00 shaking. Poor thing.

Yes, I'm really moving to Delaware, first quarter of next year. FH just told me the WHEN.

FH is being transferred down there. That's where I've been the last three days. Felicia - I totally know what you're saying (and I IMed you like 30 minutes ago - respond for goodness' sake! )!

I spent the last three days looking at apartment complexes. For $130 LESS than I'm spending now (which is $150 less than my old place) - on a GREAT place, no less - I could get a 2 bed /2 bath luxury apt (dishwasher, w/d in unit, living room/dining room) with a 24 hour fitness center, 24 hour emergency maintenance and seasonal swimming pool in the complex. I didn't even bother looking at an apartment complex down there if it didn't say luxury, and almost EVERYWHERE was less than my current place (which, I'll repeat, is a FANTASTIC find).

That apartment sounds amazing! Its a wakeup call when you see the prices of real estate outside of the NY/ Tri-State area.. even LUXURY in Delaware is cheaper than average in NY

It's all good for us - FH gets a big raise/promotion right before the wedding, and he will keep it for the move. As for my career, it will only be better. I'm in Radio, and right now I have VERY little opportunity with two of the largest markets in the country (highly competitive NYC and Nassau/Suffolk) being the only places I can work. But if we're in Delaware, I can reasonably commute to DC, Baltimore, Philly, AC, and just about anywhere in between.

We actually have a SHOT!
