I want to cut all my off NOW!! Forget after the wedding!! My hair is so damaged right now I've been tempted to cut it off and start fresh...but I'll behave.

its funny but my hair is alot easier to deal with when its longer...When its short, unless i actually sit there and blow dry it carefully, sitting there with the brush and turning in the ends or something, it looks weird...i guess since my hair is so thin, the ends wont sit right when its short and supposed to look a certain way at the ends...When its long, i can even walk out with my hair wet and it will be fine.

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?

i am forbidden!! seriously, i think FH is going to make me sign something.

1. no short hair
2. no mom jeans
3. no turning into a bum ( like never wearing makeup always in sweats kind of slump - i mean constantly not just like once in a while)

and he just can't turn into his dad. . .

Some women are meant to have long hair, and I'm definitely one of them!! I intend to have long hair for the rest of my life, regardless of how gray it gets!!

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?

I used to cut my hair short all the time and FH would tell me that he really liked me with short hair.

then we got engaged and I started to grow it out cause I was determined to have long locks the day of the wedding...

and now when I recently sat down with FH and we were looking at photos from when I had really short hair (and was 40 pounds heavier) he's like 'please don't ever do that again.'

Apparently he like it at the time cause he didn't know anything else. Now that he sees me with hair longer than I've ever had it before (about mid back at the moment) he doesn't want it to go away and truth be told....

neither do I!

haha thats funny bc when my hair was shorter, FH used to say he likes my length and the haircut and thought i should keep it like that...Now that my hair is alot longer hes like wow its real long now i like it alot.

Fh shaved his head at the end of the summer, he always had the longer hair, not long but a little spikey and messy lol...At first i was like OMG youre gonna shave it oh no but i ended up loving it and some think it looks better. But for the e-party he grew his hair out, then shaved it right after and now hes growing his hair out again for e-pics then he'll shave it again lol

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?

I'm chopping it all off. My hair does not look good long at all. It is way too limp and fine.

No hope for my hair - it's a-comin' off after the wedding, I mean DAY after.

Yes! Same here. Oh man. I cannot STAND my hair right now. It's the longest it has been in 3 years, and I feel like I have a pseudo mullet. It's not good. But I'm tryyyyyyyyyyying to grow it out. BIG OLE CHOPPY CHOP before the honeymoon, for sure!

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?

I do.

After my sister got married in 2005, I chopped 10 inches off my hair and donated it to locks of love. I plan to do that after my wedding as well.
(though my FH begged me never to cut all my hair off again)

No!

FH has asked me nicely never to cut my hair shorter than my shoulders. My hair is at the middle of my back right now. I love my hair!! (and apparently so does FH)

haha that is the same with my FH he loves my hair long...but I have always had long hair but right before we started dating I cut it up to my shoulders and he said I was lucky he loved me since we were like 13 yrs old because otherwise he wouldnt haev been attracted to me with my short hair He thinks he is funny

But right now it is almost a little longer than the middle of my back...and I kinda want to cut it again cause I miss the short hair but I know I prob wont cut after the wedding cause I am so bad with my hair i cry after I cut it haha thats why I only cut it once up to my shoulder!!

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?

oh yeah....i usually never have my hair past my shoulders...this is the longest it's ever been and I can't stand it!!! It feels so heavy all the time and it takes me forever to wash and blow dry my hair.
