Kleinfelds chanrges a mandatory $400, but that includes the bustle. That didn't however include the cups. I couldn't believe they charged me an additional $20 to have cups sewn in!
Other than that, I was happy with their alterations. They ordered me a size 8 and it was way too big. Since the dress was all lace it was probably a PITA to alter. The waist area need major alterations. and the bottom hem was scalloped, so they had to remove it, hem the dress and then resew the hem back on.

Re: Alterations - How much did/will yours cost?
I think mine was a little under $100, but my dress was made to length & and that was an addiotnal $100 int he beginning. The other alterations I had were: letting the top out , pickign the straps up & a one point bustle. I think what I paid was on the low end. At David's for a bm dress I paid almost as much as the dress, around 120-150 & for my wedding my mom said her alterations were more than mine, but her dress was beaded.

I called her back and let her know I wasn't too thrilled with the price and it is going to be $175. Ladies, make sure you speak up!
BTW - What is a bustle? That big part that comes out of the back? What do they do with that?
wow- good for you!
for the bsutle, they put hooks,a button, or ties ( underneath ) and the you can attach the train to your gown resulting in 'the big part that comes out of the back)
They charge way too much for that in general, & mine was just one button & 1 loop

I am having a lot done since I purchased a sample and the place that I bought it from really got me into much more than I bargained for! But thank god for my wonderful seamstress.Hem, Bustle=$200
Restore the dress(Pulling at seams, Cutting/reshaping the top, etc)-$200
Replace the damaged whole back of the dress-$100
Having a seamstress that is willing to do all this work=Priceless
