alternatives to tossing the bouquet???

Any suggestions for something to do with the bouquet instead of tossing it?

When I was single, I absolutely dreaded going up to try to catch the bouquet. I certainly don't want to put any of my guests through that, especially since most of the single girls will be guests of my fiance's frat bros...I don't even know them well, and I don't want to make any lady out to be a spectacle of humiliation. (Frat brothers diving and clawing for a stupid piece of elastic are another story :-) )

Hi there Glory: My brother and sister-in-law did not do the boquet and garter. She stood on the steps of the church after the mass and threw it out to the crowd. It was very simple and elegant and it eliminates the garter, etc at the reception.

You can either have one at the top of each plate setting, or one every other setting (if you choose a favor one per couple). Like Kate said, make them decorative to liven up the table.

That way, the B&G didn't have to think about them again, and enjoyed the night. Make use of your bridesmaids...that's what they're there for :-)

Well Cathy, with 23 days left, I am doing as good as can be expected!! I finalized everything with FT and you are right they are wonderful!! We are in the process of putting together the seating plan. What a task!! I am just trying to relax and enjoy everything at this point...thanks for asking...Jamelle

Another alternative to tossing the bouquet which is very nice is to dedicate it to someone who is special to you....ex. a grandmother or someone who has been married a long time or anyone you choose. The bride usually announces that in lieu of throwing it she would like to dedicate it to that special person....the recipient is always surprised and honored!
