Re: Any Brides getting Ivory dresses???

ivory for me too.

about the tuxes... i remember awhile back there was a post about tuxes & ivory gowns. some girls did not go with ivory shirts, but white instead. i can't remember if they had ivory vests or black vests. if i remember, sonicstef posted about her gown/tuxes but i can't remember what the consensus was...

as you can tell, i'm trying to decide what color shirts/vests to go with my ivory gown!

Re: Any Brides getting Ivory dresses???

All our groomsmen wore white shirts.
The groom wore a white shirt, gold vest (same as groomsmen) and an ivory tie.

I had heard about the 'ivory dress=ivory shirt' thing but after seeing Stef's (Sonicstef) guys, I didn't even think twice about it. They all wore white shirts.
Actually, I think it looked pretty sharp to have the contrasting ivory on white for the groom. Contrary to what I was told by various tux shops, the stark white shirt didn't make my dress look dull or dirty.
So I'm convinced that that whole thing might fall into the 'things vendors will tell you so that they can take more of your money' because in a lot of cases, ivory shirts cost 'extra'
