FH & I host a soiree we serve cocktails & hordouvers, and of course baked goodies...

We do this in lieu of exchanging w/ friends, however we do buy 'party favors' ex: champagne flutes, candels & journals,

I love that idea!!!
FH and I only bought each other a few stocking stuffers, we need to save as much $$ as possible!!!

Everyone was given minimal gifts this year. FH & I are not exchanging gifts. I know being on a budget stinks, I hate it. We keep telling each other we will have Christmas in July, to keep our selves positive.

yeah I owe FH money too....it's always bad this time of year....it will get better with time. ironically I need to buy a white Juicy suit to wear getting ready on the big day :)

and Christine...I don't believe for a second you don't know what Juicy is!!

I am seriously a couple of hundred from negative. Not much but with all this wedding stuff everyone told me not to go crazy this year...so I didn't. I got eveyone a little something and a card. That's it! I could not afford it. FH and I were not supposed to exchange gifts but he got me Sirius satelite. UGH! He is bad with trying to save money.
I know what you mean. It is hard times.
