We are. My mom is giving them to us for X-mas present. We always wanted to so we figured if we start now then we can be amazing by the wedding. I have a feeling this is something we'll continue to do even after the wedding. We are going to Ballroom Dance Long Island

I agree. I want to learn all of the dances like the tango and waltz. It is a great way to keep the marriage fresh and the knees alive.

I know I want to be able to go out to places that play music like that and be able to actually get on the dance floor and look amazing

Re: Are any of you girls taking DANCE LESSONS?

Ok...

It is around $1000 for I think 8 Private, and 8 Group Lessons...

It is so much fun!!!

Private lessons are 45-1hr... Groups are around 1 hr and 1/2.

The place is called Metropolitan... It used to be Fred Astaires on Stewart Ave in Garden City.

Michael is our Teacher...

So far we have learned, salsa, Hustle, Foxtrot, Silver foxtrot, Rumba, a Little Tango...
and I am sure others... Its not like you learn one dance one day... they teach you a few steps each class for different dances, so when you go out you can actually dance to more then one song....

Good Luck!

Re: Are any of you girls taking DANCE LESSONS?

nope thought about it, but would rather spend the money elsewhere. We might have to practice a bit at home first though. I also read a review from one bride that said she did it, but it ended up being a waste of time, b/c by the time they got into their routine the DJ had invited everyone onto the floor and noone was watching them.

Re: Are any of you girls taking DANCE LESSONS?

My FH and I were definitely thinking of taking some lessons. He took some years ago with his sister, so he's pretty good already. It's me that is the problem.... I can dance and all, I just think I'm the man. HAHAHA I'm always trying to lead and he just laughs at me. It's pretty funny!!
