My hall gives a CP 7 roses in a fishbowl or an $8 credit per table. I am just not sure whether I want to apply the credit to my CP or use the flowers for the cocktail hour....

If you're asking for an opinion, I would apply the $8 towards your CP's and forego the CH arrangements. The tables are always small, people are only in there for an hour...

Re: Are you buying flowers for your cocktail hour?

No. Our hall provides votives for each of the tables. I think that might be a better statement for the CH room.

I didn't think about it either until I started comparing florists. There are so many little places they suggest putting flowers!

Re: Are you buying flowers for your cocktail hour?

I ordered floating flowers in a bowl, but I never thought to ask the hall. Does anyone know if The Huntington Townhouse provides any during the cocktail hour?

hall provides floating flowers in bowl.

If you want something I would suggest:
--photo of you and Fh on table
--candle
--wrap ribbon aound small votives or hurricane glass
--something inexpensive, but pretty.

Thanks for the great suggestions!

Re: Are you buying flowers for your cocktail hour?

Each table is going to have a fishbowl with a floating rose on it, and there will be a vase with calla lillies on the piano.

Re: Are you buying flowers for your cocktail hour?

My cocktail hour is on an outside deck, we're being married in the gazebo and the ballroom is right beyond everything flows from one to the other.....with all of the greenery outside and flowers we won't have to but I did purchase some silk flowers in pots for the outside deck we have tables set up out there as well

Re: Are you buying flowers for your cocktail hour?

My hall supplies mini-bubble bowls with 1 floating flower in each so I request gerbera daisies since I will have them in my CPs and bouquets.
