OK that is sooooo f---ed up!!!! Do all your guests live in NY? b/c honestly, why would the want to travel to make it to a Sunday wedding hours away when they have a wonderful Saturday local wedding.

Maybe she can bus people up in the morning. People might not want to pay money to stay overnight two nights (people wont want to go home after wedding -- will probably have to stay that night and then take off the next day)

send out STDs and get the invites out early!

That stinks!!! Did they know about your wedding? If they did that was pretty messed up. Are you going to have a problem with your minimum now?

Some people really need to get a kick in the a$$$. I would send save the dates ASAP and invites as soon as humanly possible. Maybe do a website or something with pics and everything stating how wonderful your wedding is going to be. I mean really how is Rhode Island going to be able to compete anyway

His mother told him and asked that he change it but his fiance HAD to have that date...

I'm hoping we'll be ok with our minimum... I may need a b-list. UGH.

did you have a b list?

I didn't really make one because never in a MILLION years did I think I would run into something like this. I kinda felt I knew who would come and who wouldn't (even with FH's OOT guest list) I never thought another family member would get married the next day.

I may have to dip into that 'we'll fill chairs at your wedding' thread!!!!!
