Teri , knitting is acutally really simple once you get going. I found it hard to learn though.. I took classes at a little yarn shop - like 3 sessions or so. I knew how to crochet already which I dont' think hurt or helped...It's VERY satisfying though!!!!!

Yes ... I want to learn how to knit too. My mom tried to teach me when I was young ... but I had no interest then!

Erica ... I think the blanket is lovely and you did a wonderful job on it. If I received this as a gift ... I would appreciate the thoughtfulness and all the hard work that went into it as well as the beauty of the blanket!!!

Teri...I've been crocheting since I was a little girl...and I would say that my mom taught me how to knit in my teenage years...(I wanted to knit a sweater)

Its super easy when you get the basic stiches down...

I will find the site that gave me the refresher course...it has video that you can follow...

DH thought I learned right then...I just looked at it and started knitting (since I knew already), but then I told him I knew already...

Michaels also offers classes...I have never taken them(which I would like to do more elaborate items) but I have heard them in the back...
