i had it in may, then went away, and i had it a few times in the last 2 weeks, but not bad and i didnt throw up at all

i figure 8 lbs and stopping smoking is pretty good

We really want to find out, although I'm sick of everyone telling me what they hope the sex of the baby is lol, who wouldn't love a baby girl or baby boy, I mean come on both are soo friggen adorable that it should not make a difference, but to me I really want to know so I can go out and buy things, but I know for your religion you don't do that right? But I definitly thinks its nice to know ahead of time

Wow your lucky you haven't thrown up at all, I'm jealous lol, and 8 lbs is great! Especially from giving up smoking, because honestly if I didn't end up sick like everyday in the first trimester, I think I would weigh ALOT more hahah

mayghen - i dont know why people actually have a preference - it gets me SO upset - we want a healthy baby; obviously; who cares what it is!
But, DH does want to know - so we will find out in another month or so

Yea, we dont buy anything until the baby is born but I know my mom has been secretly shopping and hiding stuff LOL

i mean, lots of girls are so sick the first three months that they either gain nothing or even lose weight
though i was somewhat nauseous in May, i didnt throw up and i guess I ate enough to still put on some lbs. !! LOL

you're one of the lucky ones, ill pray i can be so lucky. Question though bc i always talk about this hahaha, i once read this whole article that most women have the same pregnancy and labor their moms had with them, i think it was about 8 out of 10 women will have the same. Wanna see how true this statistic is so i always ask pregnant women hahaha. But are you having the same pregnancy so far your mom had with you? such as weight gain and feeling sick.

I guess i ask all the time bc my mom had a horrible pregnancy, she had this thing where amniotic fluid gets on the outside which causes you to be sick almost the whole 9 months, and not just morning sickness but 24/7. She started getting sick the first month and was sick throughout. The only time she didnt feel nauseous was when she was eating so bc of this she gained about 70 pounds. The only positive part is that she was in labor for only 3 hours, and said that it hurt her more when they removed the placenta afterwards than actually delivering me. But i have a feeling i will go through what my mom did. Which explains why im an only child hahaha. Also doesnt help that ive already been talked to in regards with me having low blood pressure and being pregnant. Some women have to be put on bedrest the last few months who have low blood pressure. Luckily now they have alot of things to help with this. Plus i was told i need to start taking calcium pills since i have a calcium deficiency and this also causes problems during pregnancy. Basically i know i wont have it easy ahahaha but ill make the most of it

well, i have heard that before and in my case i pray to g-d everyday that it is true (for me) not for you LOL


for my sister it was NOT true; but my sister is built like my dad; she is taller and much thinner than me and NO hips

i am built like my mom, shorter, rounder and BIG hips LOL

my mom had my sister in 4 hours from the time her water broke until she was born and with me - 45 minutes!
no throwing up, no morning sickness - nothing
my mom gained 18lbs with my sister and 12 lbs with me -
like i said, this was not true with my sister, who gained about 35 with each of her 3 pregnancies BUT again, she is built like my dad so i told my mom that if i had to inherit her hips and thighs, they better be good for something LOL
also, my mom carried in the width (as you can see from the pics im getting a spare tire)
my sister looked like she had a basketball, but she had 3 boys and my mom had 2 girls
i dont know how my mom would have carried a boy since she didnt have any

so far sounds like you are having the same as your mom. And they do say 8 out of 10 so guess your sister might be one of the few who it doesnt happen to.

WOW 45 minutes, now lets hope this really is true bc that would be amazing for you.

I am preparing myself that it might be that way so at least it wont be a surprise but ill still enjoy it as much as i can. I'd rather go through the a miserable pregnancy as long as i have a healthy baby, itll be worth it.

Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes just as well as it has been, cant wait to see more updates the next few months
